INTRODUCTION

The Naval State University aims to be a globally competitive state

university producing competitive graduates equipped with sufficient
knowledge and appropriate skills. This thrust has been pinned in the
university's vision and mission. As such, the students are exposed into
different activities that will mold them as experts of their specific field of
endeavor. One of which is the conduct of the on-the-job training that aims to
expose every student on the actual practice on their chosen fields.

The on-the-job training is part of the academic requirements for

graduation by the student in any curricular program of the university The on-
the-job training program of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology seeks to:
train the students to gain first-hand knowledge and skills required by local and
national law enforcement agencies; acquire advance knowledge on the latest
trends in the field of Criminology, Law Enforcement Agencies; and Forensic
Sciences; upgrade technical skills learned from the institution through
continuous agency field practice.

The duration of the training is five hundred forty hours which is enough
for the students to acquire sufficient knowledge and skills from the agencies
where they are assigned. The training starts with the pre-departure orientation
seminar and ends with the conduct of the fine tuning activity immediately
after the students obtained 540 hours of training on their assigned agencies.

After the training, the students are required to submit this manual to the
coordinator as a basis of their rating. It is expected that the manual is fully
accomplished upon submission. It includes the description of the agency
where they have conducted their training, the enumeration of the challenges
met during the training.
