CHAPTER 1
PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
INTRODUCTION

Senior High School (SHS) students are now given the chance to enhance their
skills in their respective academic track through the K to 12 Work Immersion Program as a
means to develop competencies and work ethics in preparation for the real world and its
challenges. This work immersion provides learners with opportunities to learn about the
workplace, as well as the authentic work environment. Work Immersion is a key feature in the
Senior High School program
Work immersion usually do by the college or graduating students . It explore and
prepare theirself to the job they are going to take . It really helps the students as they do work
immersion because negative insight and expectation to the job they will get will break and
prove wrong,
As the K-12 program has been in the law and now 2 years and counting . The
grade 12 curriculum gives work immersion to the grade 12 students for the compilation and
since K-12 is the preparation of what course does the students will going to take in college .
We , researchers want to know that there’s an impact for the decision of the 1 st choice course
of the students after they have done work immersion .
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study will be beneficial to the following :

 Students – it will help the students to determine what might be courses they would get
after having a work immersion.
 Teacher – they will know the specific course of the students.
 Community – it will also be benefited community as students gives professionalism to
the country that will help to the growth of the economy of the Philippines.
 Parents – they will prepared theirself financially based on the courses what students will
get
 School – as well as the school , for the preparation of the room.

SCOPE AND DELIMITAION

This study aims to determine the decision making of the student of what
course they will pursue in college
The study focuses only in 15 respondents of this study were 15 female
students and 5 male students for a total of 15 respondents.
The study was conducted at Best link College of the Philippines during the
month of January to February year 2018.
