10. ST KYRIAKE, GREAT VIRGIN MARTYR
At that time, a great multitude followed
our Lord Jesus and thronged Him.
And a certain Woman had a flow of
blood for twelve years, and had
suffered many things from many
Physicians, and had spent all that
she had and was no better but rather
grew worse.
When she heard about Jesus, she went
behind Him in the crowd and
touched His garment.
She thought: “If only I may touch His
garment, I shall be made well.”
And iImmediately the source of her
bleeding dried up and she felt in her
body that she was Healed of the
affliction.
Jesus - immediately knowing in
Himself that Power had gone out of
Him - turned around in the crowd
and asked: “Who touched My
garment?”
And His Disciples said to Him:“Thou
see the multitude thronging Thee
and Thou ask ‘Who touched Me?’”
And He looked around to see her who
had done so.
The woman, fearing and trembling,
knowing what had happened to her,
went and fell down before Him and

All we who hasten to Thee and with

Protection. In temptation, we rely on
Thee for our Salvation, O Only All
The Martyr of Christ has called us
together to laud her and sing the
praises of her Sacred Contests and

In an era when the deceptive error of
idolatry was prevalent throughout

Praise Him with timbrel and dance;
praise Him with strings and pipe
Thou dashed the might of the godless
impious Kings to the ground, and to
God, O Virgin, Thou directed Thy

unafraid of the lead hammers that
pounded Thee, or of the fire, the
