GATHERING TIME
Pets (cats and dogs)

Lead Teacher: Kristyn Lloyd

Ideas to be Emphasized:
1. Pets can be very useful to have around.
2. You have to be careful what you feed to your pet.
3. Caring for a dog can help you get good exercise.

GATHERING TIME 9:55-10:10 a.m. or 2:55-3:10 p.m.

Transition
Sing “oh where, oh where has my little dog gone” as children wander around the room
singing and pretending to look for their little dog. Encourage them to look through their
pretend binoculars and look. Teachers will encourage all children to find the little dog
around the center circle as they sit for gathering time. (Song on CD “o where, o where has
my little dog gone?”)
