Online Registration
Step-by-step guide for the new PG students
Monsoon 2018, CEPT University

Welcome! This guide is designed to help you with the online registration process. Please read the following instructions carefully
and follow the guide step-by-step. The first part of the guide introduces you to the general principles of curriculum and pedagogy
of postgraduate programs at CEPT University and the second part deals with the registration process.

Please note that the registration will begin on3rdJuly 2018 afternoon and will close on 17th July 2018 at 5.00 pm.

PART - 1
All programs at the CEPT University are offered as a mix of mandatory and choice based courses. The mandatory courses include
studio and lecture courses. The studio is the centre stage of the mandatory courses, based on the principle of ‘learning by doing’.
The mandatory lecture courses provide knowledge in the core areas of specialisation. All programs have 85% of the credits as
mandatory courses and 15% as elective credits.
Electives are offered as courses during regular semesters or as a part of Summer Winter Schools (SWS). SWS offers a range of
courses which run during the winter and summer breaks between the regular semesters. Being modular, these courses offer
intensive learning opportunity, and some may also offer possibilities to travel and learn about different places.
A student is free to choose the 15% credits from elective courses offered by any program at the CEPT University or from SWS,
subject to prerequisites and/or suitability of time-table slots. In some cases, a mandatory course of one program may be taken as
elective by students of other programs subject to prerequisites and seat availability. Please remember that even if you do not
register for electives in the first semester, you can always complete your credits by taking courses which are a part of the
Summer-Winter Schools later.
Monsoon 2018

All PG programs at CEPT University follow a common annual calendar and timetable to facilitate students to be able to choose
courses from other Faculties.
