AIMS
To identify and use the interrogative form of the verb HAVE GOT, PRESENT SIMPLE, FIRST
PERSON SINGULAR.
To revise vocabulary related to camping : rucksack, watch, water bottle, hat, compass,
,binoculars, map, camera.
Topic
Asking about possession by using the interrogative form of the verb HAVE GOT, present
simple tense, first person singular.
Warming up
Good afternoon, children! Today I want you to meet one of my friends. This is Mr. Minion. Say ….
HELLO!. He is going camping too and this is his rucksack.
I will take out one puppet and his rucksack, which will have items made of paper inside.
Presentation
Me : So, have you got a camera? Mr. minion: Let’s see. … YES, I HAVE.
Me: Have you got a watch? Mr. minion : YES, I HAVE.
Me : Have you got a TORCH? Mr. minion: NO, I HAVEN’T
Me : Have you got a COMPASS? Mr. minion: No, I haven’t
Me : Have got a HAT? Mr. minion: Yes, I have.
Me: Have you got a WATER BOTTLE? Mr. minion: Yes, I have.

I will stick a list of objects on the board. I will also put SMILEY AND ANGRY EMOJISs according
to the rucksack.
After every answer , I will take out the smiley or angry emoji, so that the short answer will be left
next to the question. Then I will ask the students to repeat the questions and their answers.
Practice
I am going to ask for 2 volunteers and give them different cards, on one side of the card there will
be a picture with a question mark and on the other side there will be an emoji. STUDENT A will
pay attention to the picture to make a question using HAVE YOU GOT A….? and STUDENT B
holding the card will see the emoji and answer using , YES, I HAVE / NO, I HAVEN’T.

rest of them , one to each student. I will ask them to stick them in their folders.
Me : You have to complete the questions and answers paying attention to the picture.
I will ask some volunteers to come to the board and write the sentences in order to check the
activity.
