 12 delegates per house (3 delegates from each grade)

Aims and Objectives:

HAMUN aims to:

 Induct and train delegates into MUN Procedures


 Assess their aptitude, and receptiveness
 Encourage student involvement in issues of global importance
 Foster the attitudes of diplomacy
 Encourage critical thinking and the ability to synthesise research
 Encourage students to apply prior knowledge to unforeseen situations, and enhance decision
making skills
 Gauge their performance in HAMUN in order to select delegates to represent NISV at NIMUN 7

Agenda: Impact of Industrial Pollution on Ecology

Why?

 NISV actively believes in going green and fosters this attitude in its students as well.
 UNEP shall be the ideal committee to simulate as it shall encourage delegate participation and
enthusiasm, making the proceedings dynamic.
 It shall also allow for synthesis of prior knowledge that complements the research that they shall
conduct on the basis of their country allocations.
 Global warming is an issue that all students are intimately familiar with, and UNEP shall prove to
be a relatively engaging committee for the induction of first-timers.
