BLUE LINE

COMMUTER RAIL
In FY15, available data suggested that
ridership on the Commuter Rail system,
approximately nine percent of system-
wide ridership, was stagnant or declin-
ing. Customer experience varied widely
across the system, in many ways be-
cause of the age of the infrastructure
that ranges from 30 to 100 years old.

sible to customers with disabilities.

The service has historically been con-


tracted to an outside operator, creating
