I'm looking to upgrade my video card and I don't

know if the AMD Athlon II 270 will support a Gtx
660 ti. Also, will it bottleneck, and if so, is it
worth the upgrade from my current GeForce
8600 gts?

It is compatible, but the cpu will severely SHARE

limit/bottleneck the 660ti's performance.
I suggest upgrading the cpu first.

I'd suggest the x4 955 for your current

socket, but if you can afford a new mobo,
be sure to check out intel's offerings.

an i5-2500k is plenty for gaming, but if m

you want to stick to AMD or if you're in a
budget you can get the FX6300 but amd 0
is limited with upgrade options so I
suggest the i5 if you're planning to
l
upgrade to a higher end cpu.
