New Features in ION Enterprise 6.0 SP1

The new features added to ION Enterprise 6.0 service pack 1 are outlined in the
following sections.

New Device Support in ION Enterprise 6.0 SP1

Support for the following devices has been added in ION Enterprise 6.0
service pack 1: EM5600, PM1200 and DM6200.

NOTE
The EM5600 is also sold as the E5600.

To find out if these device are available in your area, please contact your
Schneider Electric sales representative.

Supported communications options for these devices are either a direct serial
connection or a serial connection through an ethernet gateway communicating via
ModbusRTU protocol, using the onboard RS-485 port.

The following table outlines ION Enterprise 6.0 SP1 support for these devices:

Enhanced Report Pack Support

ION Enterprise 6.0 service pack 1 allows custom report packs that use Report
Data Extensions to be installed and made available for use in Web Reporter.

For information on custom report packs, contact your Schneider Electric sales
representative.

Errata
The following sections outline changes to ION Enterprise documentation since the
last release.

Regional Settings Configuration for WebReach and Web

Reporter
The instructions for setting regional formatting for WebReach and Web Reporter in
the Language Support in ION Enterprise technical note have changed. The
updated instructions are as follows:

1. Start Management Console and select Tools > Reporting Configuration

Manager.
2. Select the Regional Formatting tab.
3. Select the setting you want to use for dates, times and numbers from the
Regional setting for formatting dates, times and numbers dropdown list.
4. Select the currency symbol from the Currency Symbol dropdown list.
5. Click OK to save your changes.

NOTE
For desktop applications, use the Microsoft Regional and Language Options dialog box.

For more information on installing language packs, see the Language Support in
ION Enterprise technical note.

Using Reporter on Secondary Server or Client

The “Using Reporter on Secondary Server or Client” section of the ION Enterprise
Help and ION Enterprise User Guide is no longer accurate. If you need to use
Reporter on a client or secondary server installation, you will need to create the
ION_DsnKeys.reg file manually. Contact Technical Support for assistance.
