Pumpkin.

Need to Have:
4mm needles
2 balls of orange double knitting wool
You can use two different shades or have two balls in the same shade.
Black marker

Need to Know:
sts - stitches
K – knit
P – purl
K2tog – knit 2 sts together
P2tog – purl 2 sts together

Need to Do:

Cast on 26sts with Ball A

To change between balls pull the wool tight behind the stitches. Do not weave them in as you would
normally do when changing colours. This will give the work a plump appearance for the perfect
pumpkin

Row 1
Ball A K1, Ball B K1, kfb x4, K1, Ball A K1, kfb x 4, K1, Ball B K1, kfb x4, K1, Ball A K1, kfb x
4, K1, B K1

Row 2
Ball B P1, Ball A P10, Ball B P10, Ball A P10, Ball B P10, Ball A P1 (42sts)

Keep working each set of sts with the correct ball of wool
Rows 3 – 20 – stocking stitch

Break off Ball A


Using Ball A only

Row 21- (K2, K2tog x 4) rep 4, k2

Row 22 – (P2, P2tog x 2) rep 4, P2

Cast off

Use the black marker to give your pumpkin a spooky face.
