Question 2

The resistance of the windings in a certain motor is found to be 80 ohms at room

temperature which is 25oC. When operating at full load under steady state
conditions, the motor is switched off and the resistance of the windings
immediately measured again and shows the reading of 93 ohms. The windings
are made of copper whose resistance at temperature toC is given by
Rt = Ro[1+0.00393t], where Ro is the resistance at 0oC. Find the temperature
attained by the coil during full load in Kelvin. (5 marks)
