WEEK 1 REPORT (03-05-2018 to 13-05-2018)

Joined the company and completed the formalities. Had a classroom session
with other interns where we were explained about the company, different units
and their operations. Had meeting with Deputy General Manager Mr. Anil and
had a brief discussion about our projects. I was asked to prepare a maintenance
plan for the two plants located in the premises. I was asked to report to Mr. Syam
Kumar, Executive Engineer in the plant. He will be my guide for this project. He
explained me about the basic outline about my work to be done.

07-05-2018 , 08-05-2018 & 09-05-2018

For the project, i was asked to prepare the maintenance plan. To understand the
operations in the plants, i was asked to study about the different machines, process
and other details required to prepare the plan. The premises has two plants, 500
metric ton cattle feed plant and 240 metric ton cattle feed plant.

I observed and studied about the 500 MT plant first. The plant is fully
automated and controlled from operator room. The plant operates 3 shifts a day
and produces an output of 500 metric ton. Later I studied about the 240 MT plant.
240 ton plant was inaugurated in 1976. The plant is partially automated and other
operations are done manually. The plant operates 3 shifts a day and produces an
output of 240 metric tons.

I prepared a detail report on detailed specifications about the motors and

gearboxes used in both the plants. The specifications contains detail about the
capacity of motor, power consumption details, frame size, curb weight, make of
the motor and RPM of the motor.
