WEEK 2 REPORT (14-05-2018 to 20-05-2018)

14-05-2018
Observed the work done in powerhouse and boiler house. Created a
database on the equipment and machines used in powerhouse and boiler house.
Took the details of the spare motors and other auxiliary parts in store and in
workshop.
15-05-2018
It was a maintenance day in the plant. I had to interact with the workers
about the work done on the maintenance day. They explained about the
parameters to be checked and overhauling works that has to be done on the
maintenance day.
16-05-2018 & 17-05-2018
Prepared the complete database of machines and equipment along with
their specification. I was asked to identify the critical and non-critical items in
the plant layout. I categorized the machines based on their similar work, same
machine used for different purposes, their critical importance in the plant and on
their unique features.

After the database on machines, I was asked to collect the details about
the transmission systems in the plant. The details of the bearings, sprockets,
chain drives, belt drives, gearboxes used in the transmission system.
