EOD LEVEL 1
EOD 1 - Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 1 (Mine Action/UXO)

This course is designed for those who may want to formalise their vocational qualifications and experience through an
academic award and who want to enter the Humanitarian Demining field.

12.7, 12.9, 12.11, 12.13, 12.18, 12.20, 12.22, 13.1, 13.11

Introduction Pre Attendance Requirements

This course is designed for individuals with little
or no formal knowledge of explosives and other
more experienced explosives workers who may
want to formalise their vocational qualifications
and experience through an academic award and
who want to enter the Humanitarian Demining
field or something similar.
This course has been specifically constructed to
meet the International Mine Action Standards,
the European Union EOD competency standards
and UK National Occupational Standards (NOS).
On completion of this course the student will be
able to carry out the explosives demolition of
Unexploded Ordinance (UXO), Explosive
Remnants of War (ERW) and landmines.
This course is accredited by Homeland Security
Qualifications (HSQ) and provides an academic
recognition.
The student must be conversant in English
Language.

Qualifications Achieved
On successful completion of the course the student
will receive a Certificate in Explosives Ordnance
Disposal Level 1 certification from ISSEE and
HSQ.

Course Duration
15 days, over 3 weeks, breaking at weekends.

EOD 2 – Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 2. This course will enable the individual to be able to operate and lead a
team for both mine and Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) clearance and understand the basics of the supervisor’s role.
