The Delegation of the European Union to the United States of America offers paid internships to recently graduated
university students with less than one year professional experience.
Internships are offered in 3 cycles each year: January to May; June to August; and September to December.
Be citizens of the U.S., nationals from the EU Member States or pre-accession States
Be young graduates with at least a Bachelor's Diploma (or equivalent)
Have a maximum of one year of professional experience
Not have already benefited from previous in-service training or employment (paid or unpaid) with any of the EU
institutions or bodies, including a "Blue Book" traineeship

Proof of comprehensive medical and accident insurance valid in the USA for the duration of the internship
Medical certificate stating you are fit for work and have no infectious disease (a certificate written by a general
practitioner is sufficient)
Copy of your diploma
Extract of a "judicial record" or background check certificate
Passport/ID
Selection of successful candidates will be done on the basis of a comparative examination of the applications received for
the cycle in question. Successful candidates will normally be notified at least 3 months before the beginning of the cycle for
which they have been accepted.
