3. Explain in two or three sentences why you have chosen this article.
I chose this article because it was the first article in the extensive reading section and the
title of the article, which is Human Aggression, actually caught my attention. Other than that, I
think the article is very interesting because it explains about human aggression as a human nature
that develops naturally within the human behavior.
4. Explain briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about.
The article speaks about the aggression in which human possess that makes human the
most ruthless creature alive. But in the other hand it also explains that aggression is something that
we, human, develop to survive and that human need the aggressive side to direct the course of our
lives and to influence the world around us. Human aggression leads man to success but also
destroys man in the same time. The author of the article also believes that human aggression is
related to the cause of wars.
5. What is the writer’s message or purpose in writing this article?
In my opinion, the writer’s purpose in writing this article is to tell about human
aggression as a natural human trait and to tell in a detailing manner about the occurrence of
human aggression in our daily life.
6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of your article review.
I think the writer has written a good article regarding the explanation of human aggression.
I think it is a good choice to imply the different examples of the occurrence of the human
aggression in our daily life so we can have a good understanding regarding the topic.

3. Explain in two or three sentences why you have chosen this article.
I chose this article because it talks about the diminishing of languages in our world and I
think it is a very interesting topic to be read. For me language has always been a topic of interest,
that’s why this topic seems very fascinating. Other than that, the topic of this article is very
relevant to our lives today, because we can see a lot of languages, especially traditional
languages, start to fade from society.
4. Explain briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about.
The article explains about the slowly decreasing number of languages in the world, where
as approximately half of 6,500 languages are in the verge of extinction. It also talks about the
importance to preserve languages because firstly, languages are representational for cultures, and
secondly there are certain unique phrases in a certain language that cannot be translated accurately
into another language. According to this article there are two ways to preserve languages; by
linguist who purposely study them and by the common people who teach these endangered
languages to their children.
5. What is the writer’s message or purpose in writing this article?
I think the writer’s purpose in writing this article is to spread the information about the
fact that we are slowly losing some of our languages and to spread the urgency of preserving
these languages.
6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of your article review.
Personally, I am very fond of this article because it talks about the importance of
languages itself and why it is crucial to be conserved. I think a lot of people see language as
something so common that they usually take it for granted. But the writer of the article tells
otherwise and manages to emphasize on the significance of language.
