Structural Engineer
We are after a Structural Engineer to join our team in NSW.

Reporting to the SAED manager you will be responsible for Structural Analysis & Design of
telecommunications base stations.

Key Responsibilities:

 Verifying and approving of other structural engineers work

 Ensure engineering compliance of designs against Australian and Client Standards;
 Analysis, assessment and certification of steel and concrete monopoles, reinforced concrete footings,
Foundations & Towers.
 Analysis, assessment and certification of buildings, or special structures such as water tanks and grain
silo's
 Coordinate with Design Engineers to design support structures for telecommunications equipment and
antennas on new and existing sites;
 Liaise with the Project Engineers and other stakeholders regarding design related matters and ensure
technical issues are efficiently resolved;
 Identify potential risks with the design and manage them out of the process as early as possible;
 Develop and maintain effective relationships with Clients to smooth design negotiations;
 Ensure design Quality Assurance Procedures are adhered to at all times; and
 Coordinate design input from other disciplines to deliver working drawings.
 Preliminary & Detailed Design of telecommunications sites (both greenfield / rooftop/upgrades)
 Ensure engineering compliance of designs against Australian and client Standards
 Define requirements for buildings in accordance with the BCA - Building Code of Australia
 Skills and experience:

 Three or more years experience acquiring telecommunications facilities.

 Working knowledge of Telecommunications Legislation (Telecommunications Act, Code of Practice,
Low Impact Determination, Deployment Code etc).
 Currently working in Telecommunications and Experience in a similar role
 Self-starter who can work independently and with team members
 Strong understanding of structures and engineering solutions
 Wireless telecommunications base station structural design experience
 Thorough working knowledge of Australian Standards for design and comprehensive knowledge of
Building Code of Australia
 Experience using structural analysis software (Space Gass or MS Tower preferred).
