Task Procedures :

1. Call out pupils to the front of the class.

2. Hold up the task sheet.

3. Point to one word ( e g. ‘blog) and ask pupil to spell and read.

Eg : Can you spell the word?

4. Elicit response from pupils.

5. Ask pupils to spell ‘blog’. Teacher asks pupils to find the word ‘blog’ from the task sheet
and circle the answer.

6. Distributes the word find task sheets to each pupil.

Classroom Management :

1. If the pupils make a lot of noise, teacher will get their attention by clapping her/his hands
and say ‘class, class’.

Managing Errors and Mistakes :

1. If pupils pronounce the word incorrect, ask them to stop. Get the good pupil to pronounce
the word before getting the rest to follow.

2. If pupils response in their mother tongue, acknowledge their answer by saying ‘correct’
and repeat the response in English.

Rewards and Feedback :

1. Praise pupils when they answer the questions correctly by giving them ‘smiley’.
