ACTIVITIES IN THE POWER PLANT

1.) We start up the Man Engine at around 7:58 am using LFO fuel and at around 8:37 we shifted to
the HFO fuel and it is 39 Minutes after the start up the load was ramp up.
2.) Calculation for the Diesel consumption are the following:
Level of Man Day Tank before start up = 145 CM = 3,255.8 Liters
Level after shifted to HFO - - - - - - - - - -= 142 CM = 3,188.4 Liters
Consumption of Man Engine = 3,255.8 – 3,188.4
= 67.4 Liters @ 39 Minutes run of the Man Engine # 2and this result
is based on tank volume calculator.
3.) Fuel Inventory before start-up in the Morning are the following:
LFO Tank # 1 - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - 61CM = 6,758.3 Liters
LFO Tank # 2 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 94 CM = 11,046.4 Liters
Total Inventory before Transfer to Man Engine Day tank and Generator 3 & 4 Day Tank =
17,804.7 Liters
HFO Tank # 1 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -21 CM = 2,758.3
HFO Tank # 2-- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -40 CM = 5,892.0
Settling Tank - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 53 CM = 7, 326.0 Liters
Total Liters on stock beginning of the shift= 15,976.0 Liters
4.) Transferring of LFO to Generator 3 & 4 Day Tank are the following:
Existing Level in the Morning LFO Tank # 1 -- - - - - --= 61 CM = 6,758.3 Liters
After Transfer the Level of LFO Tank # 1- - - - - - - - - = 57 CM = 6,147.1 Liters
Total Transfer to Generator 3 & 4 Day Tank - - - - - - =6,758.3 – 6,147.1
= 611.2 Liters- This can be a basis for
tomorrow Morning before filling the Day Tank
5.) Transferring of LFO to Man Engine Day Tank
Existing LFO Tank # 1 after Transferring to Gn. 3 & 4 Day Tank = 57 CM = 6,147.1 Liters
After Transfer the Level of LFO Tank # 1 - - - - - - - - - -= 54 CM = 5,687.7 Liters
Total Transfer to Man Engine Day Tank- - - - - - - - - - -= 6,147.1 – 5,687.7 Liters
= 459.4 Liters this can be a basis for
tomorrow Morning before filling the Day Tank

Note: This Calculation are based on Sounding conducted by the Power Plant Personnel and what-
ever the result of the Sounding Measurement we will base to the given calibration chart provided
by the Tank Supplier.
CALCULATION BASED ON TANK CALCULATOR FOR THE TWO DAY TANK IN THE ABSENCE OF CHART
CALIBRATION PROVIDED BY THE MANUFACTURER ARE THE FOLLOWING

FOR DAY TANK OF GENERATOR 3 & 4 :

It is a Cylindrical Tank in Horizontal Position and the Total Capacity as per information is 500 US
Gallon Equivalent of 1,892.1 Liters
The level of Day Tank is = 56 CM = 1,222.7 Liters
The level of Day Tank after Transfer = 1,763.8 Liters
Therefore the Total Liters of Day tank = 1,763.8 – 1,222.7
= 541.1 Liters- This is the result of Tank Calculator and this
can be a reference for tomorrow morning.

FOR THE DAY TANK OF MAN ENGINE DIESEL THE CAPACITY AS PER INFORMATION IS 1150 US GALS
AND EQUIVALENT IN LITERS

Day Tank Level after shifted to HFO and before filling of LFO - - - - - - = 142 CM = 3, 188.4 Liters
After Filling the Level - - - - - - ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - = 160 CM = 3,592.4 Liters
Total Liters Transferred - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - =3,592.6- 3,188.4
= 404.2 Liters this is the result of calculation using
The Tank Calculator.
Note: at present we will follow the level being draw in the Main tank using the Chart Provided to
us because this was calibrated.
6.) The Maintenance personnel continue to calibrate and clean the 6 units remaining injector
7.) The Electrical Personnel servicing the LT Water Pump # 1
