7. Innovations and Best Practices

7.1 Innovations introduced during this academic year which have created a positive impact on the
functioning of the institution.

 Green Audit of full grown trees of campus in institute during year 2017-18
 Academic and lesson plan prepared by each faculty.
 Improving soft skills of the student through training and placement.
 Improving teaching and technical skills of faculty by various programmes.
 Increasing placement opportunities for the student.
 Improving social involvement of the students by NSS.
 The students are taught for content beyond the syllabus.
 Value added courses improve the technical skills of the student.

 Two days National level technical seminar on “ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, CURRENT
STATUS OF FOSSIL FUELS & NEED FOR PV POWER GENERATION” on 27th & 28th
JULY 2017.
 One day all India technical seminar on “ENERGY AUDITING & ENERGY
CONSERVATION TECHNIQUES” on 7th AUGUST 2017.
 National level Technical Symposium & Project contest on 01st FEBRUARY 2018 .
 Two days International conference on “ICICNRES” on 8th & 9th MARCH 2018.

7.4 Contribution to environmental awareness / protection

 Energy conservation program was conducted on 18-12-2017 at SCT campus

Namakkal.
 Road Safety awareness program conducted on 14.10.2017 at Infront of
Government hospital, Namakkal.Totally 100 students were benefited.
 Students created awareness to village people about deforestation and give motivational
speech about sapling at Karungalpaalayam on 25.06.2018.

 Swachh bharat Summer Internship program from (18-06-18 to 27-06-18) Totally 50

students were benefited.


