About VVIT
Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology was
established under the aegis of Social Educational Trust,
Guntur in the year 2007. It is permanently affiliated to
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and is
approved by AICTE. The College offers 4-year B-Tech
Programmes in Civil, ECE, EEE, CSE, IT and ME with a total
intake of 840 students. The College also offers Master’s
Programmes in Computer Applications, VLSI& Embedded
System (ECE), Digital electronics and Communication Systems
(ECE), Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics
and Drives (EEE), Structural Engineering (Civil), Machine
Design (Mechanical) with total intake of 126 students. The
college has well qualified and experienced faculty with 30
doctorates. VVIT has emerged as one of the top three
Engineering Colleges from the 200 engineering colleges
affiliated to the J N T U Kakinada. All the classrooms are
equipped with ICT tools and air conditioned. The central
library, departmental libraries, and laboratories are
established as per AICTE norms. The high speed wi-fi internet
connectivity with 100Mbps is provided. Siemens Centre of
Excellency with 15 high technology laboratories including
robot technological laboratory to provide training to the
students of all the surrounding college and unemployed rural
youth. VVIT is the first college in the Coastal Andhra Region to
install a 100 KW solar power plant under Green Technology
initiative. To extract the inherent talents and skills of the
students, ten students’ clubs such as music club, culinary
club, dancing club etc. Since 2010, 17 students are selected as
national players and participated as JNTUK university
members in various games and sports events at various
universities. VVIT has recognized as nodal centre by Govt of
AP, Centre for Startup Village Boot Camp and Incubation
Centre. NCC units ten(A) and two armed activities , and every
year Darga to Durga program is organizing to imbibe the
national integration among the students community. VVIT act
as mentoring institute for swatch bharat programme.

About workshop:
Smart materials and systems are able to sense and respond to Session-III
the environment around them, they have the potential to
improve existing technology and add new functionality to “Smart Structural Materilas”
products. In addition, smart materials are considered as
“Building envelope of the future” that combines various Day-2
functions into a single product. The Smart Materials/
technologies provide an opportunity to develop a new Session-I
building aesthetics. The real benefit of smart materials is for
