Stockyard Days: An ‘Udderly good time’

Stockyard Days is the New Brighton
gathering celebrating the community
today and its 19th century beginnings
as grounds for livestock.
The festival is all about animals,
organizers say, and this year’s tagline
— “Udderly good time” — reflects that,
illustrated by a logo of a cow having a
cow of a time.
New Brighton residents and regional
neighbors have a chance to join in the
fun.
The festival has been an annual get-
together for nearly 40 years, providing
decades of family entertainment for
generations of New Brighton residents.
As Stockyard Days has become a
cherished and exciting New Brighton
tradition, full of vendors and events
that festival-goers enjoy year-after-year,
like the Antique Car Run and musical
acts like festival favorite GB Leighton,
the organizing committee strives to
deliver the consistently excellent festi-
val and also try new events.
Stockyard Days 2018 has a few

Have a Great Time at Stockyard Days

Prior to Stockyard Days, untold thousands of preparation hours are
invested during the year. An incredible amount of planning and investment
is exerted through preparing for, running and decommissioning the
Stockyard Days events. Then with just a few weeks break, the process
starts all over again for the next year.

Recognizing all the required efforts Nadine and I give our best to all the
Stockyard Days volunteers in creating the annual events. We also want to
recognize the city staff for their mutual efforts providing support services
and events throughout Stockyard Days. To everyone, we say Thank You!

This year, when attending any of the Stockyard Days events, remember to
say a special thank you to the volunteers you meet.
