Letter of Recommendation for Mr. Showren Datta

I am writing this letter of recommendation to endorse the admission of one of my students Mr.
Showren Datta in the post graduate program at your university. He has taken several of my courses
namely Mechanics of Structure, Mechanics of Structure Sessional, Ship Design Project and Computer
Programming in Ship Design II Sessional in the undergraduate study. I have known Mr. Datta since last
four (4) years, when he started L-1/T-1 of his undergraduate course in my department. As one of my
undergraduate students, I found Mr. Showren as brilliant and very hard working with a capacity of
understanding complicated subject matters. He has shown good academic performance at the SSC
and HSC (pre-university levels) as well as at the undergraduate level in my university.
Mr. Showren Datta has a strong research aptitude and according to my observation he has high
potentiality to perform advanced research. I gladly endorse Showren’s exceptional understanding of
analytical techniques and application of statistical tools during his undergraduate thesis work. Apart
from that, Showren has a commendable habit of staying up to date with research publications in his
fields of work. He is an inquisitive individual and always meticulous about the details in his work,
having an aptitude for reviewing research based literature and other relevant materials to ensure the
comprehensiveness of his output.
Mr. Datta has admirable communication skills. His written assignment works are clear, concise and to
the point, as well as interesting to read. He demonstrated his oral expressiveness in the Ship design
project presentation (NAME 338) and Thesis presentation (NAME 400). He also demonstrated
excellent teamwork skills in group assignments. Throughout my various courses, he demonstrated his
interest and motivation to learning with great perseverance, initiative and intellectual creativity. As a
person he is a well disciplined, industrious student with a pleasant personality.
I believe that he is very eager to show better performance in your University if he gets the opportunity
to study over there. So, I strongly recommend for his admission to your institute with scholarship or,
any other forms of financial assistantship. I wish him all success and a prospective future. If you like to
