Dear Students,

You are intimated that Industry Internship Programme is an important paper of your PGDM
Programme. It is to be completed successfully to get through to the next semester. The objective
of this programme is to get the exposure at workplace in the industry regarding the management
concepts which are taught during lectures at the institute. The practical knowledge at the
workplace helps to acquire competencies which are necessary for effective and efficient working
in future for a management professional.

For successful completion of internship programme your sincere and dedicated efforts are
required and these would result in honing skills and knowledge in line with requirements of
potential employers. Due to this, the employability of the candidate gets enhanced considerably.
Further, we expect a large majority of students those who complete their internship programme
successfully get pre-placement offers from their respective companies of internship. It is very
crucial for your career and professional advancement. We are confident that you will put up your
100% concentration and sincere efforts for completion of the programme within 60 days period.
You ensure that you strictly adhere to stipulated timeline.

Therefore, you are provided herewith the Guidelines for Internship Programme 2018,
highlighting the main elements and monitoring system of the programme. Further you are
required to understand the guidelines thoroughly for proper working. The Programme duration is
of 8 weeks starting from 20/04/2018 - 16/06/2018. For further clarification, please feel free to
contact the Dean of the Institute.

Industry Internship Programme : Guidelines


1. Introduction:
The main elements of the programme are following:
(a) Total Credits: 3,

(b) Duration: The total duration of the programme is of 8 weeks and is starting from 20th April of
the year.

(c) Satisfactory completion of IIP is mandatory for registration to Semester III of PGDM
Programme at the Institute.

2. Guidelines for reporting during Internship Programme:


(a) The Industry Internship program comprises of On-Job Training in the concerned
organization and Internship Project on which a report has to be submitted to the
organization as well as the Institute.

(b) Students are advised to report briefly regarding the experience that added value to their
learning they had at the Institute to the respective faculty guide through email on a
fortnight basis during the programme.

(c) Students are required to compulsorily mail all the Fortnightly Progress Reports to their
faculty guides.

(d) Students are required to follow the deadlines as mentioned below:

3. Guidelines for Evaluation:

The Internship programme evaluation is divided in two parts.

(a) Evaluation by Company guide: Total 100 Marks

(i) Training Performance Appraisal – 50 Marks

(ii) Project Evaluation – 50 Marks

(i) The On-Job Training performance appraisal is done by the Company Guide as per the criteria
given below (50 Marks)
