Learning outcomes : Pupils will be able to solve involving money in real life situations by identifying the key words.
Previous knowledge: i. Pupils had learnt to add money up to RM100.
ii. Pupils had learnt to subtract money up to RM100.
iii. Pupils had learnt to multiply money to the highest product of RM100.
iv. Pupils had learnt to divide money with dividend not more than RM100.

3. Teacher highlights and introduce the vocabulary ‘how much’ to the Spend
pupils.
4. Teacher asks questions to help the pupil identify the needs of the
question. (Who give you money? Amount given by your mother and
father? Total money that you have?)
5. Teacher explains the needed of the question and takes out the
important key words or just underline. (Mother gave RM52.40; father
gave RM20.20, how much?)
6. Teacher shows the alternative to find the answer using standard
written method.

remember to read the question carefully, underline the key
information, and decide what operation to use because you may need

Group activity (20 minutes):
1. Teacher gives clear instruction before dividing the pupils in 6 groups.
2. Teacher gives instruction :
a. Teacher distributes an envelope which contains pictures of

b. Teacher let the pupils listen to a recording.
c. Pupils look for the food’s picture in the envelope and stick the
picture on another paper labeled as ‘Answer sheet’.
d. Pupils answer the questions in the boxes provided in standard
