Saga Kenate Number 15: “Lorfan”.

Science fiction tale by Alfredo Juillet Frascara.
October 2016.

Date: 6120- 6180.

Places: Kenate IV planet.

Characters:
Lorfan, scavenger; Lucy Orelia, young and active Scavenger, Victoria her sister; Gusory,
totally zombie.
Professor Brabony, explorer of ancient sites.

Animal: Torosaurus, Lycorhinos, Brontosauros, Adasaurus.

Synopsis.
Lorfan. A scavenger that explore old abandon cities taking whatever object worth of value
to be sold. After one of his acquaintances gets missing, he begins searching for her
everywhere he could. But when found,

Chapter 1.
01
The Gusory.

Lorfan jumped on the roof and run to the border; seven Gusory followed him; grabbing a
cord he have attached there previously, he jumps and stayed in the air thanks of the
aforementioned rope.
The Gusory jumped towards them, but having no cord to grab, they keep on descending and
splashed their bodies’ seven stories below.
Lorfan went up the ceiling and rested there, looking how the dark blood oozed from the
Gusory, showing a pool of rotten blood over the pavement.
Shootings were heard…. Lorfan realize that others were also in danger. He remembers how
it all begin: the war against the Octoai Republic ends when Zulage, commander of the
Army Forces of Sardinial, throw a biological weapon unto the Army of the Octoai, killing
thousands and infecting hundreds of soldiers in the aftermath.
The virus provokes a paralysis that lasted twenty four hours. In that period of time, the
soldiers from Sardinial collected bodies and burnt them in gigantic fires. The pyres burning
enemies darkened the skies.
But there were also civilians infected. Those were spared but when regaining mobility, their
souls were gone and animals appear instead: their sole objective now was to eat, to hunt
and kill! The terrified soldiers from Zulage Army begin fighting the, but the infected
outnumbered them. Months passed, and with horror they find babies born from those poor
creatures, nurtured by their animal mothers.

Twenty years later of these terrific events, new cities were built instead of the old ones
NOW CRADDLES of infamous beings, named by the people as the Gusory, in memory of
the scientist that created the devilish virus…
Lorfan was one of the few who dares walk on the old deserted cities, the price for this were
utensils, jewels or old machines left behind by terrified dwellers of the cities: Sardinial was
a mighty city in the past; hundreds of houses, factories, tunnels, still have objects of use.
Lorfan could easily sell them to peddlers and collectors; jewels were bought by jewelry
shop owners with a profit!
Lorfan walks to the hole in the ceiling and using an electric torch, begin to descend by the
stairs to the old dusty desolates apartments where he wish to find valuable objects.
He has two knives and a revolver; apart from that ant the light torch, he has a bag with
some food to eat while scenting the area. He heard sounds of footsteps coming from a
corridor, so he turns off the flashlight. The silhouette of a person appears. Lorfan pointed
his gun towards the figure, and used the standard phrase to know a human from a Gusory:”
“Stop and tell me your name!”
In all cases a Gusory heard that phrase, he will attack. If a human heard it, he will reply
with any phrase.
“Lucy.” A feminine voice said.
“Well, Lucy, I’m here scavenging. I mean you no harm. I will light my flashlight to see you
and you will see me. Are you ready?” Lorfan said.
“I’m ready.” She said, and the light shows a woman robbed in a black garment, holding a
machine gun pointing directly at him. Lorfan rolled on the floor, kicking the next available
door, while bullets begin to rain all over the corridor. The flashlight danced on the floor,
but soon it explodes while the bullets hit the mechanism.
Two bullets Lorfan receive, one in each leg. Now he was sensing the blood running down
his legs; he takes refute on the bathroom, pointing his revolve to the entrance; the woman
went away, without any other word. The smell of poser was strong, at the corridor, and its
fumes went inside the apartment.
Unable to see, Lorfan bandaged his wounds with dusty clothes he found in drawers that still
have some perfume sticking to the fabric. He walked around the apartment, finding a collar
but unable to say if it was made of crystal balls or some other more precious objects.
He walked up and away that corridor. On the roof he found capsules of bullets near the
west corner of that edifice. He seats there and revised the wounds; one bullet goes out and
that was the bigger wound; the other has a bullet imbibed unto the bone- dangerous it was!
He decides to return to safety- to New Sardinial, 36 kilometers away down the coast to the
south.

He uses woods that now existed where in better days roads existed. He saw several
Fulengia eating and he knew there were no Gusory around… they used to chase Fulengia
having little success…
Two hours later, he was bleeding profusely so he rested under some bushes. He then heard
a horrible roar, and he heard someone running that it was a human puts him on the alert and
pointed his revolver to the origin of the noises.
He advance, belly down, and then he saw a figure clad in black, handling a machine gun
pointing to the roaring Ceratosaurus, that appears green and ominous from behind a tree
trunk.
Now, to use a machine gun like the one the figure was handling against a dinosaur that big,
it was only to inflict pain and rage from the Behemoth. It was useless to think the beast
could be killed with it.
The pain in his legs reminds him who was the responsible of it: that same woman! He
aimed at her and said: “Hello, pretty one! I’m pointing at your head right now!”
She turns towards him, pointing the machine gun against, but the revolver spit a bullet and
the woman went down as a puppet. He has aimed to a side of her skull, and now he was
approaching her to see if the wound was as he expedite or failed to be as light as he
pretends it to be...
“A scratch.” Lorfan murmured, looking at the wound that knocked her out of conscience by
hitting sidewise against the bone…
He takes the machine gun and looked unto the Ceratosaurus that was now immobile, after
hearing the crack of the explosion. He now was sniffing at the air, so Lorfan begin the
retreat, pulling the woman away. With his legs bleeding it was not an easy task…
As they retreat, the Ceratosaurus aw a Fulengia walking at a trot, so he forgets about that
black and thin figure and began galloping after the Fulengia, who squeaks in terror.
“Good.” Lorfan said, and tied hands and feet of that woman; he was feeling very weak and
soon he passed out, much to his discomfort…
They lie there for several minutes; she awakes the first, looking around, and when ready to
stand up and flee, he stumbled over Lorfan, because of the ropes around her hands and
feet…
Now she was noticing a log of blood on the man´s clothes. His breath was very faint. Terror
arrives to her eyes when, after trying to untied the ropes, she realizes the knots were in the
exact position not to give way to escape... if that man dies, she ill follow him afterwards
where nobody has come back!
“Hey, you! Wake up!” She said to Lorfan, who moved his head but didn’t open his eyes.
“You cannot die!” She sobbed, and after some minutes, Lorfan opens his eyes and seeing
her face up close, he said: “You are really beautiful, to be a man killer!”
“Why do you say that to me?” She declared.
“You fired me down the corridors! “ Lorfan said, tightening his bandages a little more.
“I don´t remember it! Must have been another person.” She said, shrugging.
“Yes, bad memory pertains to assassins, too!” Lorfan said standing up with difficulty as his
head was spinning; he takes the weapons and said: ”Sorry about this, but I need your
support to reach New Sardinial alive.”

“What do you mean? I have my hands and feet tied by you!” The woman said.
“Well… I will untie your feet, only. I will put my arm around your shoulders. My legs are
wobbling.” Lorfan said.
“So you will use me s a can stick?” She said, being released from the rope.
“Well, it’s the price to pay for having used me as your target.” Lorfan said.
They walked for the rest of that day, and rested under the foliage of the trees.
“We could use the tree branches for to sleep I always did that.” The woman said.
Lorfan chuckled and replied: “Me, too1 But with these pair of legs, I hardly could move-
least to climb trees like a chipmunk.” She half smiled at that reply. Lorfan said: “My name
is Lorfan. What is yours?”
“Orelia.”
“I remember another name…. Lucy.” He said, seated on the roots of a bush.
“Oh, I never met her.” She said, smiling.
“You are very beautiful. How is it that you work scavenging?” Lorfan asked. Orelia-Lucy
said: “Pure bad luck. I was the only daughter of a millionaire that was always remembering
the old time before the virus! And that was enough for me to come here to look on old
things.”

“So, you aren’t searching for a treasure here?” And Lorfan indicated to old Sardinial city.
“Just to explore and with a profit, seems to me a nice occupation. Don´t you think that?”
Orelia asked.
“Of course. I find something at the place where I end running from your bullets.” Lorfan
said, showing the collar.
“Oh, pearls?” Orelia asked.
“Pearls makes people get rich.” Lorfan said.
“ Don´t you boast much about it. From here I am looking at them as fakes.” Orelia
commented.
“Who knows? I will make them be tested by specialists!” Lorfan said, returning the collar
to the bag.
They heard rumors of heavy footsteps so they kept silence until total darkness arrives; cold
arrives, too. She moves next to him, saying: “I am feeling cold.”
“And were you not the one wishing to sleep above a tree?” He mused, but then he embrace
her (hands still tied and they dozed.
10.
AT THE HOSPITAL.

In the morning she awakes earlier than him and looked at his face; the lines that could tell
what kind of man he was- and she likes hi. He was feeling attached to him- a physical wave
that resonates with her body.
“Wow! You awake! Well, let’s go! Today we must arrive to New Sardinial!” He said,
standing up; he felt a change on her, so he said: “
Orelia, I need you to rich the city. My legs are draining me of force. I will untie your hands
now.”
“I knew it!” Orelia said, and when her hands were freed from that cord, she rubbed her
wrists, to make the blood circulate normally.
“Sorry for that! But I could not trust you, after you punctured me with two bullets on my
legs!” Lorfan said.
2Sorry for that!” Orelia replied.
They walked together until reaching the city at nightfall.
“I will get you to a hospital!” Orelia said, looking how pale he was. In a taxi cab they end
their journey. The doctor looks at Lorfan´s legs, saying:” Hurry! A transfusion is needed!
And a bullet must be taken out… are you his wife? Because we need authorization, in case
of complications later.”
“Yes, I am his wife. Do what you have to do, but quick, doctor.” Orelia said, feeling
responsible for his health.
Two hours later, doctor Irelon said: “Wish you luck in your job- whatever it is! Try not to
serve as a target again!”
“I will remember your recommendation, doctor. “ Lorfan said. A the entrance, he saw
Orelia seated, like waiting for him…
“Lady, are you waiting for me?” Lorfan said, standing in front of her.
“Oh, you still here? I asked for you at the desk, but the guy told me you were already out.”
Orelia said, blushing.
“Well, here am I” Glad to see you, Orelia. Or may I call you Lucy?” Lorfan asked.
“Seems like you prefer to call me Lucy, eh? Well, it has no importance for me. You could
call me Lucy.” She said, while he seats at her side with a grimace.
“What? Did it hurt?” Lucy asked.

“Oh, well, the doctor told me to get some more days in bed, and I’m going to believe it
meant it.” Lorfan commented, patting his bandage.
“I can call you a taxi cab, if you want. Do you live near this place?” Lucy asked.
“Not too far from here. I invite you a coffee at home, if you help me arrive to my flat.”
Lorfan asked of her.
“I hardly know you. What will your spouse say to you, when seeing a strange woman?”
Lucy asked, alarmed.
“I’m single, no need to give explanations to anybody.” He said, smiling. Lucy blushed and
said:” Well, guess I am feeling responsible for you, anyway. Let go find a taxi.” Standing
up from the seat.
Soon they were on the car, traveling by the wide avenues of New Sardinial; he lived at a
tranquil edifice near the docks- from afar the cry of seagulls was plainly heard.
At the apartment, they seat at a table on the terrace; he serves tea and biscuits, saying: “I
enjoy solitude in here. Makes one in peace with the Universe; the sane bellicose attitude of
people make this ocean of peace more enjoyable.”

Lucy leaned over him and said:” Show me your findings.”
Lorfan reacted with surprise, saying:” My findings? Well, I always sold everything I get!
That’s my job!”
“But I have heard scavengers always have something in hidden, too beautiful or costly to
just sell away… have you such a thing?” Lucy said, smiling.
“Yes. I will show you my personal collection!” Lorfan said, and taking her by the hand
begins guiding her to the bedroom. She sopped near the bed, saying:” What is this?”
“Calm down! Her e I will show you something.” He said, and under the bed he produces a
large box with wheels; indeed there were several objects wrapped with clothes.
“See? Here you have a saver! Not any saver! It has a gold hilt with emeralds and on top,
two large rubies, resembling the fiery eyes of a pterodactyl.” And certainly: engraved were
that beast, and grabbed with it’s talons, two other lesser birds.
“This is incredible! Magnificent marksmanship! Where do you get it?” Lucy asked, looking
amazed.
“I cannot tell you! Furthermore: I forgot.” Lorfan said.
“If you don´t want to tell me, don´t lie!” Lucy said, and puts her attention on other objects
they admire, and he takes a bracelet, saying:” This will be a token of my appreciation to
you: a brother, in this case, sister spirit. You get interested in what I like, and vice versa.”
Lucy puts it around one of her wrist saying:” It looks a lot better than the one you put me
first.” (Meaning the rope). They talked a while more and then she said: “Sorry now, but I
get to go! It has been a nice time with you.”
“Thanks. Now you know where to find me, if you ever want to see me again.” Lorfan said.
When Lucy was gone, he packed his treasure back to that box and went to sleep- his legs
were aching.
For several days Lorfan repose; he barely went outdoors, but at the fifth day, Lucy knocks
on his door.
“Hi! I come to pay you another visit.” She said, meekly.
“Come in! You are welcome!” He said, steeping aside. She enters the apartment, and at the
dinning table she saw several papers full of diagrams and maps. She takes one of those and
said. “Are you a cerographist?”
“I wish I were! But it’s a hobby of mine! You know, my father, Alfonse W. Woodron, was
a cartographer, a map maker! And I learn the trade, but without going to any Institute!”

“Good for you! And what is this? Another exploration?” Orelia asked.
“Yes, remember where we … met? Near that place, they say, was a governmental building
where they mint money! And I pretend to find it.”
“Don´t tell me you are going to sack the treasure there? If you find any sopes, it will be toe
old denomination: not in use today and totally worthless!” Orelia said, looking at the
drawings.
“Not that! Must be other valuables we could find.” Lorfan, said, taking her hand. She stared
at him and asked: “Are you inviting me to your trip?” Orelia asked.
“Don´t you want to go? We could share our findings! And it’s better two rather than one
excursionist! Remember that you help me getting back here.” Lorfan said, thinking he was
showing himself too anxious to have her in his project.
She looks at his hand, that as retaining hers, and said: “if I accept, will you release my
hand?”
Lorfan takes it out, smiling, and said: “It’s that a yes?”
“It was a “yes”. When do we depart?” Orelia asked.
“We must carry food, lamps, weapons… well, you know about weapons.” Lorfan said, and
that memory doesn’t like her, that makes a grimace.
“I think that in three more days we could begin, starting from here.” Lorfan said, and she
nodded.
16.
They talk a little more and then she left. Lorfan realize her morals were of a shark, her
reactions that of a Velociraptor. All wrapped in a beautiful package… perhaps not his
type… He revises his wounds, the scar was red but in good health, with the upper part in
that brown color typically the body makes to ensure a nice healing. The other le, where the
bone was affected, was a little tender and the stitching with the fine cords sticking out. He
change the bandages and seats at the table, looking at the route, while thinking how many
days this trip will going to cost in money.
At the next day he bought the supplies, the ammunition and also bought new boots and a
hat to match. He was for ever thinking on Lucy… or Orelia, as she was now saying her real
name was… how she will react while working in tandem, so at night he decides not to wait
for her if she doesn’t arrives early. He was not prone to disappointments.
At the next day, 10:20 hours, he close the door of his apartment , takes his baggage and
walked out of the building, and then, using an omnibus, he gets close to the end of the city
blocks and walked to the forests that surrounds it.
Once in the woods, he walked as in a known place, and always smelling the nice odor of
moist trees and bushes.

Two hours later, Lorfan seats near a stream of water, where some juvenile Fulengia were
drinking, with an eye on him: obviously knowing of humans, that sometimes were friends
but in other occasions they were not. The use of Fulengia to mount on them and ride was
over, with the many combustion engines built to move cars and trucks.
Lorfan keep on going after eating a boiled egg, a crumb of bread and a glass of beverage.
The night come, when he was already looking on the somber silhouette of old Sardinial; it
only seems to be lacking the electric light to enliven it once more , but of course, Lorfan
knows that possibility wasn’t going to happen, not in his times, at least, political and
economic reasons were in the way. Bankers lends money to builders when presenting
projects of a new edifice, but denies it to renew an old one, on architectural reasons…
He climbs a big tree and attached to branches his two bags plus his own trousers belt, just
in case he stumbles down while sleeping.
The darkness appears and he kept hearing small rodents running by the branches. He
coughed from time to time to alert the littler creatures of his presence.
Then, an earthquake begins and it lasted more than a minute, then the squawking and cries
of animals ensued. A smell of dust begins and increases until all was covered with a layer
of dirt. Now he coughed with reason.
Later, all returns to normality and he dozed until daylight. Then he looked down the tree
before descending, thinking in how nature has been unhampered by mankind in the past
200 years. The forests were full of ferocious carnivores, now increased on numbers by the
mutation of man into a beast: the Gusory.
Once sure there was no immediate danger, he descended and begins to climb the hills of
debris, more so now after that earthquake that makes it fall many a loose masonry from the
highest edifices.
Lorfan returns to that edifice he was beforehand, where Lucy fired viciously unto him, after
he signaled his presence so naively but also, as tradition mandates.
This time he will just run away or fire against any human figure.
The corridors were full of dust; he recognized where Lucy fired at him: holes on walls and
door were there.
As he descended by the lugubrious stair, he heard a huff huff, a rumor like an animal
smelling something; not willing to fire a bullet and announce everyone he was there, he
gets into an apartment and locked the door. He revise everything inside… the beds were
gone; at the kitchen, some kettles and pans were on the floor, possibly because the
occupants flee in haste, or perhaps it was the recent earthquake that throw them unto the
floor.
At the front door he heard a shuffle of feet; he now was sure that one or two Gusory were at
the building, trying to find something to eat or just suck.
Lorfan stayed there for one hour, and then leaves the apartment closing the door: he always
close doors at old Sardinial city buildings, ensuring safety for future excursions. The
Gusory didn’t know how to open a door; in case of need, they just banged on one, waiting
to smash it by pure force, but that didn’t work on places where the rains haven’t softened
the hinges.
Lorfan finds a large auditorium with a scenario covered with large raged curtains. He didn’t
enter, because there he will be not finding valuables. Opening apartments and searching on
them, soon he has two ivory figurines 35 centimeters high, representing women dancers.
The figure of a woman was always bought by males, trying to posses the beauty of a lady
no matter in the way of a china doll.
Hour later, he locks himself on another apartment that did posses a couple of beds, and
slept there, tired of searching.
Hours later, Lorfan hear his name pronounced at the corridor. He opens the door a bit and
peeking out, he said: “Here! Who are you?”
But this was because he cannot believe Lucy was there.
“Let me in! There are Gusory running around!” She urged. Lorfan opens the door just
enough to let her pass, and then he closed and locked it. She leaves her bags on the floor,
saying: “It was difficult to find you! Why you don´t wait for me?”
“Please! I help your memory a bit: we said we will depart early, and at 10.30 hours I
assume you weren’t coming so I depart!”
Orelia- Lucy lit a small lantern and revises the place, saying: “I am exhausted and scared
stiff! Oh! Beds! That’s why you are here! Were you sleeping?”
“Yes and your voice awake me!” Lorfan said.
“Good! Now you could get back to sleep! I will take the other bed, if you don´t mind.”
Orelia said.
“Please, be my guest.” He chuckled.
“Silence! I heard footsteps on the corridor.” Orelia said, putting a finger over his mouth.
They both went to the front door and Lorfan felt his hair on edge: numerous Gusory were
shuffling their bare feet by the corridor, obviously in the search of a prey! Lorfan waits
until the fiends went away, and tat the dormitory he speaks on her hear, saying: “They are a
lot of them! Are they after you?”
21.
She murmured unto his hear in response: “Yes! I was almost captured, but I outrun them! I
run for many a floor, jumping over stairs! We must wait for them to leave the chase. Not
enough bullets for them all!”
She bedded and soon she was asleep: Lorfan dozed but he, too, went asleep.
Hour later, he awakes, sensing her body next to him.
“Lucy?” He asked in the dark.
“Yes! Silence! Seems there are two Gusory at the door.” She murmured.
“Why? Did you make any noise?” He asked, feeling a creeping sensation up his spine.
“Not me, but you! You snored as a Saurolopus!” She said in his ear.
“Good heavens above! Now they will stay as long as they want!” Lorfan said, not very
happy with the news.
They waited. Three hours later, Lorfan said: “Well, seems that we must open that door and
make way to our final destination.”
“Oh, I thought we haven’t a destination at all!” Orelia murmured.
“There’s a vault somewhere in this building with fine weaponry! I read it in an ancient
magazine! Several millionaires join in a project to have every known weapon in one site, a
vault. Possibly at the lower levels.” Lorfan said.
“So, that’s what you are searching in here?” Orelia said, combing her hair with a little
brush.
“Yes, I don´t deny I take any object of value in the way down! I have in mind the idea that
this vault could be empty by now.” Lorfan said.
Three more hours, and Lorfan opens the door. The Gusory attacks but bullets ends with
their desires.
“Well, well! I see you know how to produce a bedlam! Now everyone will know where we
are!” Orelia complained.
“Let’s move, then! “ Lorfan said, grabbing his bags in haste.
Down a staircase they move until reaching the dark humid places where light never gets.
22.
“Look” Vehicles! Seems they are here for centuries!” Orelia said.
“With no fuel, a vehicle degrades very quickly! The engines stuck with gook, the
pneumatics gets deflated and become useless.” Lorfan commented.
“Look! A big bus! Perhaps we could find there what you are searching!” Orelia said,
signaling a big omnibus. They open the door with some tools, and get inside: she locked the
door (just in case a Gusory appears) and Lorfan walked by the central corridor, finding
many doors unlocked, while two of them were closed as they have several added locks.
They opened the door using some tools, and soon they were looking at t four boxes full of
old sopes bills- and one full of coins.
“Well, totally worthless! The new sopes replace the old thirty years ago.” Orelia said,
leafing the stacks of bills.
“The coins could serve as washers. All it’s needed is to open a hole at the center of each
one.” Lorfan said, handling the round objects.
“Good luck with that!” She smiled, because to make money selling washers was nil.
24.
They found a bag full of not polished lapis-lazuli stones. She said: Well, these five
kilograms could worth a few thousands. We will not get rich with this but this expedition
will be self paid if we carried this to town.”
“Sure thing, lady! If polished, this could cost a lot more.” Lorfan said, opening some small
drawers. There were logs of rings made of every mental known by him and more. She picks
one of those, saying: “Fashion
Rings! Not much money in these.”
“They cost something, anyhow. I will trade this in a fair.” Lorfan commented.
“Yes.” Orelia said, disdainfully.
There were wristwatches and pieces of the same; he said: “Well, here we could have
something valuable! Old wristwatches in perfect conditions.”
“Yes, another good find.” Orelia said, looking at several female wristwatches with coats of
silver or gold.
They heard a nose outside the truck and they dimmed the lamps. She murmured: Someone
is outside.”
“Yes, let’s peek. Grab your pistol.” And he was scared not to be able to get away with the
treasure they have recently found.
As they could not put the lights on, they just hear and after a while, Orelia said:” It sounds
like a man. Not a detestable Gusory.”

“I doubt it! He is using no lights!” Loran said, chuckling. A little moment later, they heard
some knocking on the door.
“What the heck! Really seems He´s a man, after all.” Lorfan said, lighting the place with
his flashlight. A small man was there in front of the door, suing a big apparatus in front of
his eyes. He also has a rifle hanging from his shoulder, a bag, and a cane.
“Are you friend or foe, sir?” Orelia asked.
“Friend, of course. I heard you talking a little while ago! You must be more careful.” The
small man said.
“Well, no matter that, we heard you likewise! “ Lorfan said, opening the door. The man
enters, and Lorfan locked the door again, and heard the man saying: “I am professor of the
University of New Sardinial, Brabony! I am researching old place to obtain more
knowledge on ancient vehicles and how they differ from to day’s cars.”
“Good for you, professor. I’m Lorfan, and she is my friend Orelia. Glad to meet you.”

El personaje de Marvel, Eddie Brock, uno de los principales antagonistas de Spider-Man, hizo
su primera aparición en el cine, en la película de 2007 Spider-Man 3, encarnado por Topher
Grace.10 El personaje jugó un papel secundario y no se exploró su alter-ego Venom,11 pero
cambió a un papel de villano cuando el productor Avi Arad dijo que la serie había confiado
demasiado en el gusto personal del director Sam Raimi y no en los gustos modernos de los
fans.12 Raimi había dudado en explorar el personaje debido a su "falta de humanidad". 10 Arad
reveló planes de un posible spin-off, centrado en Venom en julio de 2007.13

En julio de 2008, Sony Pictures estaba desarrollando activamente Venom junto a las secuelas
directas de Spider-Man 3, esperando que el personaje pudiera "añadir longevidad" a la
franquicia de una manera similar a Wolverine en la serie de películas de 20th Century Fox, X-
Men. Jacob Estes escribió un guion para la película, pero el estudio consideró llevarlo en otra
dirección y buscó otros guionistas, además a Sony tampoco le convencía que Grace fuera el
protagonista de la película.14 En septiembre de ese año Sony contrató a Paul Wernick y Rhett
Reese para que escribieran un nuevo guion, mientras que varios consultores de la industria

productores, y Dante Harper escribiendo un nuevo guion. El proyecto fue concebido como una
película independiente, no relacionada con las nuevas películas de Sony y Marvel
sobre Spider-Man, que lanzaría su propia franquicia.32 Un año después, Sony estableció la
fecha de estreno en el 5 de octubre de 2018, explicando que Kurtzman no estaba involucrado
en el proyecto, y que no había nuevo director, pero si un nuevo dúo de guionistas Scott
Rosenberg y Jeff Pinkner.33 Se esperaba que Venom no solo iniciara una nueva franquicia,
sino también un nuevo universo compartido independiente del MCU, y con un presupuesto
más reducido, inspirado por el éxito de 20th Century Fox al hacerlo con las películas de X-
Men: Deadpool y Logan.34 En mayo Sony anunció que Tom Hardy sería Eddie Brock y
que Ruben Fleischer sería el nuevo director del estreno del "Universo Marvel de
Sony". Venom no se considera el spin-off de ninguna otra película.2

Estreno

Director de "Venom" revela el simbionte que se convertirá en el enemigo

del anti héroeDurante la Comic Con de San Diego, Ruben Fleischer junto a Tom
Hardy entregaron más detalles de lo que será la trama de este esperado filme.
El estreno de "Venom" en Chile 4 de octubre. "Venom", uno de los
personajes más populares de los cómics estadounidenses publicados por Marvel,
listo para la pantalla grande. Comic Con de San Diego, el director Ruben
Fleischer entregó nuevos detalles de lo que será la trama de su versión de acción
real. los enemigos del simbionte interpretado por Tom Hardy ("Dunkerque"). .

"Venom" con Tom Hardy como protagonista . Venom por fin será visto estirando
su cuerpo al máximo, especialmente su cabeza, algo característico del personaje
en los cómics. Sus gigantescos dientes y extensa lengua, se verán al borde de
devorar a un ladrón que tiene entre sus manos. Aunque no se muestra que se lo
come, pronuncia la siguiente frase: "Ojos, pulmones, páncreas, tantos bocadillos,
tan poco tiempo". En otra escena, Venom está en una tienda cuando decide
lastimar fuertemente a alguien (¿o lo come?). A los pocos segundos, se convierte
nuevamente en Eddie Brock, y como si nada hubiera pasado le dice al cajero del
local: "Tengo un parásito".
En cuanto a quien será su enemigo, Fleischer dijo que se trata de Riot, un
simbionte que puede convertirse en otras personas, por lo que nunca se sabe
quién será en la película. Hasta el momento, no hay planes para que Venom se
enfrente a Spider-Man, interpretado por Tom Holland en el universo Marvel.
Pese a ello, Fleicher señaló que le encantaría ver a ambos personajes en una
película juntos. "Estaría realmente emocionado de ir a ver esa película, así que
tengo que ver si el estudio está pensando de la misma manera, y si en algún punto
del camino se cruzarán el uno con el otro", resaltó, a lo que Tom Hardy añadió:
"¿Un cara a cara con Tom Holland? ¡Claro!". El estreno de "Venom" en Chile se
espera para el próximo 4 de octubre.

Los descubrimientos se centran en una molécula con forma

de hoja de trébol llamada ARN de transferencia (ARNt), un
actor clave en la traducción. Un ARNt está diseñado para
llevar un bloque de construcción de proteínas simple,
conocido como un aminoácido, a la línea de ensamblaje de
producción de proteínas dentro de pequeñas fábricas
moleculares llamadas ribosomas. Cuando una copia o
"transcripción" de un gen llamado ARN mensajero (ARNm)
emerge del núcleo de la célula y entra en un ribosoma, se
une a los ARNt que transportan sus cargas de aminoácidos.

Los biólogos han estado intrigados por esta computadora

molecular y el rompecabezas de cómo se originó hace miles
de millones de años. En los últimos años, Carter y Wills han
convertido este rompecabezas en su principal foco de
investigación. Han demostrado, por ejemplo, cómo las 20
sintetasas, que existen en dos clases estructuralmente
distintas de 10 sintetasas, probablemente surgieron de solo
dos enzimas ancestrales más simples.

Existe una división de clases similar para los aminoácidos, y

Carter y Wills han argumentado que la misma división de
clases debe aplicarse a los tRNA. En otras palabras,

En su estudio más reciente, Carter y Wills examinaron los

tRNA modernos para evidenciar esta antigua dualidad. Para
hacerlo, analizaron la parte superior de la molécula de tRNA,

asociadas. Su análisis mostró que solo tres bases de ARN, o
