2017 was a memorable year for Vietnam, as the country’s GDP growth reached
6.8% - the highest record since 2011. The human resources market also recorded
noteworthy highlights like an increasing talent demand from the Industrial and
Technology MNCs and surprisingly as well many SMEs. However, skills issue still
remains one of the biggest challenges in Vietnam due to the mismatch between
education and business requirements.

Legal
Aside from the needs of law firms to con-
tinuously hire qualified lawyers, there was
a significant raise of SMEs looking for
in-house Lawyers to work independently
and directly report to General Manager
as well as Regional Counsel/Lawyers
regarding a functional structure.
A notable increase in hiring demand was
also noted in the Financial Service & Real
Estate industries. However, the supply
