Problem Solving Workshop for Managers

Join this two-day workshop to learn how to analyze conflicts, challenge limiting assumptions,
and generate a desirable solution without making a compromise.

In most growing organizations, a significant time of professionals is spent in fighting one crisis
after another, dealing with departmental issues, interpersonal issues, lack of communication
between functions etc. Goldratt’s TOC Thinking Processes are a set of systematic tools that
enable individuals to resolve significant issues in their personal or organizational domain,
without making a compromise. Several organizations have used these tools to empower their
employees, that has in turn led to less absenteeism and stress at work, improved personal
effectiveness, breaking silo mentality, and challenging deep-rooted mindsets.

Dr. Eli Goldratt (Creator of TOC) was an educator, author,

scientist, philosopher, and business leader. But he was, first and
foremost, a thinker who provoked others to think. With the
mindset of a scientist, he truly believed that “all complex
systems are governed by inherent simplicity” and "all conflicts
can be eliminated...if we can find the erroneous assumptions".

TOC Thinking Processes provide a step-by-step methodology to

surface the limiting assumptions. Once these deep-rooted assumptions are surfaced and
invalidated, it enables us to unlock huge hidden potential. The Evaporating Cloud (Cloud) or
Conflict Diagram, first introduced in Dr. Goldratt's book Its Not Luck (Goal II) is the most
commonly used TOC Thinking Processes tool. It is used to articulate any problem as a conflict,
and find the erroneous limiting assumptions.

The Theory of Constraints (TOC) is a body of applied knowledge that treats a corporation as an
interlinked, interdependent system rather than just a collection of independent processes or functions.
Dr. Eli Goldratt, the creator of TOC, observed that just as the strength of a chain is dictated by its
weakest link, so the overall performance of any company is dictated by its constraint.

Thousands of organizations around the world have achieved breakthrough results with TOC, including
well-known names such as Intel, Cadillac, Texas Instruments, Boeing, Lucent Technologies, Ford Motors,
Samsonite, Bethlehem Steel, Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, and Procter & Gamble. TOC, as a body
of knowledge, has seen tremendous development and expansion over the last 30 years. It has evolved
into a holistic management philosophy and set of focusing and critical thinking processes that enable
us to identify and implement win-win solutions.
