How to determine page count

Why this is Page count is the top counter commonly referred to by end-user queries to identify whether the
important consumables were used within or under specification. The issues commonly involved with this counter
are toner yield and maintenance kit items.

When to use When the end-user is having issues with consumables falling under the rated yield.

Key information The page count value cannot be changed manually by a user. This is a continuous count internally
registered by the printer. In order to fully utilize this counter, this information has to be referenced
with the Events Log and Maintenance kit counters.

Procedure From Menus Settings Pages (MSP)


Step Action
1 Navigate from the printer’s control panel and print a Menu Settings Pages (MSP).
Menus-> Reports-> Menus Settings Pages
2 From the first page of the Menus Settings Pages, locate the Device Information section. The
first entry on this section is the numerical value of the Page Count.

From Embedded Web Server (EWS)


Step Action
1 Navigate from the computer browser to the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer.
2 From the Embedded Web Server (EWS), click on the Reports link at the left column then click on
Device Information. The first entry on this section is the numerical value of the Page Count.

Tips The Page Count will tell you the life of the printer. To know more about the printer, use this page
counter in conjunction with the Device Statistics (for Color consumables) and Event Logs.
