Offerings: The offering for October is for Friendship Community, Landis Homes, Philhaven, Released Time and budgeted items. Offering last week was $2,939.75. Attendance last week was 103. Oct. 3, Sun.- Missions at the Airport today at Keller Brothers Airport, Lebanon Co. from 2-5 p.m. Informational displays, fixed wing and helicopter rides. Oct. 3, Sun.- In accordance with James 5:14, Esther Snader has requested an

anointing service in regards the health difficulties she has experienced. This will be held directly after the morning worship service in the toddler S.S. room. A large group is not expected, but if you would like to be there for Esther during this, you are welcome to participate. If you have questions, check with anyone on the ministry team. Oct. 6, Wed.- Youth Bible Study at Carl & Sylvias house. Youth meet at the church at 6:45. Oct. 6, Wed.-Fall Senior Citizens Day at Woodcrest Retreat, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Speaker John I. Smucker, music by Reunion Harmony Quartet. Buffet lunch and freewill offering. Call for reservations, 738-2233. Oct. 10, Sun.-Aaron & Danielle Miner will be sharing during the service, and bringing the morning message. (Danielle grew up in our church and is related to a number of people here a church.) There will be a provided meal following the service and a box will be available for donations towards the Lord's work through Aaron & Danielle and their family. Oct. 15, 16, & 17, Fri. & Sat., 7 pm, Sun.,10 am - We invite your prayers and participation in our church's annual Spiritual Renewal Services. This year our resource person is Ken Eberly, director of the Reading House of Prayer and former pastor of Hampden Mennonite Church, Reading, PA. Some of the passions on Ken's heart include... Prayer: The Centrality of the Priestly Ministry, and NeedsCentered Prayer vs. God-Centered Prayer. A snack will follow the Fri. & Sat. evening services, and the monthly fellowship meal on Oct. 17, instead of the first Sun of the month. Anyone is welcome to help serve by signing-up to on the small whiteboard on the refrigerator in the church kitchen. Oct, 16, Sat.-The Youth will be doing some landscaping and yard work for a neighbor of Randy Sauder. More details to come. Oct. 30, Sat.-Mennonite Womens Fall Fellowship at Mount Joy Mennonite Church from 8:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Sandy Drescher-Lehman will share about caring for ourselves as we care for others, Restoring our souls, one boundary at a time. Watch for more info in Threads of Truth. No pre-registration or fee required. Feel free to bring a friend! Nov. 13, Sat.- Hinkletown Mennonite School is sponsoring a trip to New York City. The chartered bus will leave HMS at 7 a.m. and return by 10 p.m. The day is yours to do as you please - do sight seeing, attend a Broadway show or spend the day shopping! Cost is $40 per person if you register by Oct. 31; after that the cost is $50. To make a reservation or to ask for more info, call 354-7100 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. -Anyone wishing to have their name added or deleted from the Missionary Messenger subscription list, please let Darlene know by Oct. 17. Thank you! -A Cocalico Area Mens Fraternity - ministry has begun on Wed. at 6 a.m. at Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church in Reamstown. Informational brochures are under the mailboxes. This cooperative men's ministry has been affirmed by many local church leaders -Students in grades 6 through 12. If you are interested in having a mentor please return your form to Lena Brown as soon as possible. If you need a form, see Lena. -Bible Quiz season is just around the corner! This year the material will be Genesis 37, 39-50 (the story of Joseph) and Esther 1-10 (the story of Esther).

Weekly practices will begin in December and the matches will be Sundays from late January though March. If you are in 7th grade or older, consider participating in this fun method of learning scripture. If you think you might be interested, please put your name on the list on the bulletin board so we can provide an audio cd of these chapters for you to begin reviewing. Questions? See Darlene.
