While other groups are presenting their “Persuasive Product Speech”, you need to listen to
their presentation carefully as investors.
Read the following instructions:
Investors
1. You have RM1,000,000 to invest. Your aim is to invest as much money as possible in the
winning idea.
2. First, listen to the presentations.
3. After the presentation, ask any questions that seem important, such as: why their idea is
different; whether they have made any sales; what the competition is; who their customers
are; what experience they have of running a business of this kind.
4. At the end of all the presentations, decide how much you will invest in each idea. Explain to
the group which ideas you have chosen to invest in, how much you will invest, and why.
5. You can’t invest in your own business idea, and you don’t have to spend all your money.
IMPORTANT: Do not tell the other groups how much you are prepared to invest until
the end of the activity.
The result
1. Entrepreneurs – The winner is the idea which attracted the biggest total investment from the
investors.
2. Investors – The winner is the one with the most money at the end. Double the amount of
money you invested in the winning idea, and add it to any money you did not spend.
Please do it seriously as the results from other group members decision on investment will
affect your overall marks.
