Learning Objective

Activity Describe what the learning activity will be. What

will the students and the teacher be doing? (This includes
what they are doing with the technology).
This learning activity will have the students learning
the principles of early U.S. Government. The students
will learn the ideas and principles which led the
founding fathers to craft the Constitution, which is
still the supreme law of the land today. The activity, in
question, will be creating an online pinboard through
www.trello.com and creating a list of ideas which the
Founding Fathers planned to incorporate into the new
law of the land (U.S. Constitution). As pertains to SOL
standards, the students will create a comprehensive
list of ideas and virtues the framers of the
Constitution held and still apply to this day.

The technology incorporated in this lesson comes
from www.trello.com, which , for free, allows the
students to keep an online pinboard and create a
nicely organized list of ideas and facts.
1. Turn on your computer
2. Open up a web browser, i.e. Firefox
3. Type in www.trello.com in the URL
4. Go to “Sign up”
5. Put in the basic information it requests, and
confirm membership via email
6. Go to “Boards” and click on “Create Boards”
7. Edit the Board’s title
8. On the plus sign below, click and name the
“card”, or bit of information which
subsequently grows in length.
9. When through with one card, move on to the
next
10. Keep adding cards until board is done
11. Board is automatically saved and ready to
view
