SEMESTRAL PROJECT 1
PPD
INTRODUCTION
Summary of the proposed project.
A street light, light pole, lamppost, street lamp, light standard, or lamp standard is a raised source of
light on the edge of a road or path. When urban electric power distribution became ubiquitous in developed
countries in the 20th century, lights for urban streets followed, or sometimes led. Many lamps have light-
sensitive photocells that activate automatically when light is or is not needed: dusk, dawn, or the onset of
dark weather. This function in older lighting systems could have been performed with the aid of a solar
dial. Many street light systems are being connected underground instead of wiring from one utility post
to another.
On this project I will make a street light for Unimap Go-Kart cicuit that racers can used a track for
night or dark weather. Besides that, it can make a low energy consumption and low maintenance cost
because I will use LED as a source light for race track. So racers can see clearly a track while racing

At Unimap Go-Kart Circuit is no street light so racers can’t use a track at night or dark weather and
it’s can bring a dangerous when they race at track during a night. If we used HID lamps or fluorescent for
a street light at race track it will be a high energy consumption. This can't helped consumers afford easily
these lights for any area of sports so we used a LED and it can save about 70% energy. Besides, LED has
long and predictable lifetime between HID lamps or fluorescent. The lifetime of LED is usually 10 to 15
years. The less frequent need to service or replace LED will mean lower maintenance cost. Finally, will
make it easy for users to turn on and turn off the lights using the phone.

PROJECT SCOPES
Please state the scopes of the proposed project in concise terms. Use additional sheets if necessary.
The scope in this project, I will use the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR). The LDR is built with circuit
that can turns on when it goes dark. When the light level decreases, the resistance of the LDR increases.
As this resistance increases in relation to the other Resistor, which has a fixed resistance, it causes the
voltage dropped across the LDR to also increase. When this voltage is large enough (0.7V for a typical
NPN Transistor), it will cause the Transistor to turn on. Besides, for a low cost maintenance and energy
consumption I will use LED as source light for track. Finally, I want make a advance system that can
