Capoeira is an old martial art started by the African slaves in Brazil. This once
clandestine art became an important piece of the Brazilian popular culture. It is

George R.R Martin is an amaizing writer. Born in 1948, Martin grew up on New
Jersey, in an working class neighborhood . He was the older of three brothers.

He has developed a love for writing since he was a child. He started to write in
elementary school and then started to sold his monster stories to other kids.

He went to a catholic boys high school. Then, he went to Northwestern

University when he studied journalism. After that, and during the Vietnam war,
Martin worked at the Cook County Legal Assistance Foundation, because he
was an conscientious objector.

His first published work came in 1971 and he has written a lot of stories after
that.

But his most famous book is the unfinished Song of Ice and Fire, a magnificent
epic fantasy story that develope in a medieval and magical world called
Westeros. Martin has been writing this story since 1996. There are five
published books of the saga and there will be two more. This book became
really famous through the tv show Game of Thrones. Martin was involved in the
production during the first five seasons. After that, he has left the developed of
the story to the producers.

In this days, Martin lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with his wife, Parris McBride
and he is writing “The Winds of Winter”.
