Building a warm and effective medical home
The Garden City Community Clinic provides charity medical, dental and mental health care to those in the
Treasure Valley who are economically disadvantaged and without health insurance. Volunteer health professionals
make most of this care possible. At this time, all care provided is free of charge to eligible individuals.
Located in the heart of Garden City, which is a federally-designated Medically Underserved Area of Boise, the
Clinic continues to provide medical services on three days each week and on-site basic dental services once to
twice weekly. The dental work has grown in its capacity and is now also offering oral hygiene services as
volunteers become available.
Mental health care continues to be a massively underserved need in Boise and we do our part. Unfortunately in

the last half of this year we have faced the same challenges as the rest of the community: a lack of mental health

providers, in our case volunteers. Because of this, we’ve had to scale back our mental health services, but social
