 Part 1 – Quality Content for the Book

1. 30 Games

In all my Game Books, I limit the number of games to about

30. Why 30?

• There’s enough challenge to keep their attention and

fun
• If there are too many games, they may give up
• It’s easier for me to prepare so that I won’t give up in
the process (LOL!)
• If I have more games in this series, I can break them
up into smaller series. In that way, I can charge less
and make more sales.

2. 3 Levels

Level 1 – Easy
Level 2 – Medium
Level 3 – Difficult

Challenge them to move from Level 1 to Level 3.

Table of Contents

For the table of contents, I let them see that there are 3
Levels and there are 30 Games for them to play.

These Games are hyperlinked: we do them like Clickable

Table of Contents. If you are not sure how to do clickable of
TOC, you can get my Kindle Formatting Formula.

I don’t name this page “Table of Contents” because it

doesn’t make sense to say this as a “Table of Contents”. I
put a different Heading at the top.

So for the heading: Word Scramble Game

I make sure that they see Level One, Level Two, Level Three
on this page at one glance.

And under each Level, there are 10 Games.

When they see everything at a flash, they will know how to

play this game book.

Step 1. Instruction Page: How To Play The Games

Right away, I tell them that there are 2 Ways to Play

this Game:

A. For Parents & Kids

B. For Adults

Step 2: Score Sheet

I write a simple Score Sheet for them so that they can

prepare the hearts to WIN the game and not just play it
slowly.

Hopefully this can motivate them to evaluate their progress.

This makes it more fun for them rather than just playing it!

We all want to ‘win’ when we play games.

This also sets some purpose for parents who are playing this
game with their kids.

Step 3: Page Showing the 3 Levels

This simple page is to heighten their senses to play this

game interactively!

I hyperlink the 3 Levels to the Respective pages so that they
can tap on the Kindle Device to get there.

I try to make this as interactive as possible.

If they want to go directly to Level 2, they can go to Level 2.

They do not need to go back to the “Table of Content” page
to start all over.

If they want to go directly to Level 3, they can go to Level 3.

Later, I will show you how to hyperlink them within your

Game Book. This is a good way to make your book as
interactively as possible.

Step 5: Game 1

• Everything is on ONE page.

• They can figure out the answer by writing it down on a
piece of paper.
• Hint: first letter is given to them
• So they can try to solve the rest of the puzzle before
moving on

 • When they are finished, they click on the bottom link:
“Answer to Game #1”.

This is what they will see when they click on that link:

After they check the answer, they will Click on the link to
move on to Game #2.

Step 6: End of Level 1

At the end of Level 1, I ask them how many happy faces

they collected. This is to help them to keep score.

Then, I tell them to move onto Level 2.

Step 7: Level 2

I put a new page to Level 2 so that they can see that it is a

new chapter – Level 2:

Game 11 to Game 20.

The Hint for Level 2: Last letter given to them.

This is more difficult than Level 1.

So I call this Level 2: Medium

Step 8: Level 3

At Level 3 – it is DIFFICULT.

No Hints are given. So they need to figure everything out

themselves.

Step 9: Final Score Sheet

At the end of the Level 3, I show the Score Sheet Again for
them to evaluate their skills.

Part 2: Technical Part – Create the Words

Step 1. Using Power Points to Create the Words

I try to make the game more fun-looking by using power

points to create those scrambled words.

Here I will take you step-by-step procedure to create those

words. If you do develop Games Series, you will have a lot
of occasion to use this method. So I will pass on this skill to
you.

It’s very easy to do.

1. Open MS Powerpoint

2. Left Click on the Circle Icon where the Red Arrow is
pointing:

3. Take the Cursor to the screen and Left Click. The
Circle will appear on the screen:

4. Repeat the following steps to make 6 Circles on the
screen

- Cursor to the highlight the circle

- Right Click
- Point Cursor to Paste

5. Then a 2nd Circle will appear:

6. Use your keyboard cursor to make the circles line
up side by side:

7. Keep repeating the above steps until you have 6
circles side by side:

8. Put the Cursor on the Circle and type in the letters:

9. After typing in the Letter, highlight it with the
cursor, bold it to Verdana 54

It’s best to use Verdana because of the Capital I. If you use

Aria, the I looks like “l”.

 10. Put in the letters for all 6 Circles

11. Print Screen and put it in your Document.

Step 2: Use the PowerPoint Templates

If you find it difficult to follow the above 11 steps, you can

just use the power point templates that I provide for you.

This will make your job easier: You just need to

type in the letters.

• Type in the letter

• Highlight & Bold the letter so that the letter stands out
• Print Screen
• Paste it onto your document

Part 3: Technical Part – Making Interactive
Hyperlinks!
In order to make your game as interactive as possible, you
need to learn how to ‘hyperlink’ your pages by using MS
‘hyperlink’ + ‘bookmark’ features.

For eg.
You want people to Click onto the link: “Answer to Game
#1” to go to Page 2.

You don’t want them to scroll to the next page, because you
want them to tab on the kindle device to go to the answer.

How do get them to tab on the link to where you want them
to go?

Step 1: Put the Cursor on Answer to Game #1

Step 2: Go to Insert  Bookmark

The right box will then appear:

Step 3:

Key in a code: I put in AG1 (A stands for Answer; G stands

for Game 1 Stands for Game #1)

Click ‘Add’

Step 4: Highlight the “Answer to Game #1” on the
previous page.

Step 5: Click On the Hyperlink Icon, the following box will

pop up

Step 6: In the pop up box, Click on the “Go to the
Document”

Step 8: Click on the OK

This is now hyperlinked to the Answer Page:

**You don’t really need to do this hyperlink feature, but

putting this in will make the game more interactive and fun.**

Don’t get bogged down by these technicalities. You can
always just have your game moving from one page to the
next and people will just move on by tapping to the next
page.

And one day, when you have time, you can come back to
this report and learn the technical stuff. I just want to make
these ‘skills’ available for you so that you know how to do
them yourself.

Even if you have them go from one page to the next, this
also works!

That’s how we want it.

In that way, you don’t need to figure out every puzzle

yourself.

Key in the 6 letters.

You can make it 7 letters or 8 letters.

It’s up to you!

Try to think outside the box!

The answers are pulled out for you.

Just copy that and design your 30 Games!

Don’t get too bogged down with too much details.

Notice that for my books, I actually used ‘tables’ to put in

the letters. This is very difficult for newbies to do and the
formatting will be a big issue. I don’t want you to get
bogged down with these technicalities because how they see
the answer is really not that important.

You can just do this:

3 Letter Words:

AIL

ALE

ASS

LIE

SEA

SIS

4 Letter Words:

Etc.

Etc.

The previous chapter on Hyperlinks is important for you to

learn – because that will make your book ‘interactive’. The
tables are not that important. So just keep this simple so
that you can get your book done by the end of today.

Just get one QUALITY Game Book done and upload it.
