THE MISSION of St. Francis Center for Renewal is to glorify God and
to witness to the Gospel by providing a Christ-centered
environment of hospitality, caring and love as an oasis
of peace and healing for all God’s people.
St. Francis Center for Renewal, founded and staffed by the School Sisters of St. Francis, is built on our tradition
of ongoing conversion of heart through prayer, reflection, liturgical celebration and contemplation. The Center is
located on over 50 acres of natural beauty. The grounds, with wide open spaces for walking, are embraced by the
gentle flow of Monocacy Creek. (Following are examples of our retreat offerings.)

solitude, silence and guidance.

Spiritual Direction can be simply defined as “companioning” an individual on her/his life journey. In meeting
with a Spiritual Director we are offered guidance in listening to the movement of the Spirit in our life. This better
enables us to respond to God’s direction. St. Francis Center for Renewal provides trained and qualified directors.
