ITC 2018 International Seminar on

Student-Satellite-Mission
Space Technology in Satellites is important instruments for the development and progress
of humanities. Student-Centric-Satellite Missions are an order of the day in the world. The
growth of Student Satellite activities has been most sought after in academia. World over
900+ such satellites are launched by students and some of them are in orbit.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been supporting free /paid launches for
student-built satellites and has played a proactive role in developing human resource in

this exciting field globally. Make India Innovate,
ISRO is offering to train young students from other countries to build and launch small
satellites as part of celebrating 50 years of UNISPACE.
Excel Globally and Prosper
India is embarking on the enhanced role for space-based systems for national needs and
gets a share in global space market. It needs to attract talented youth to equip themselves 05-06 September 2018
with knowledge, skill, and competence to play an active role in these efforts in near future.
The international seminar will address the prospects and pathways for Indian academia
and students to take part in such efforts. NIMHANS Convention Centre
ITC 2018, designed and conceptualized a distinctive Seminar to identify about 75 Bengaluru, India
institutions as a hub to create incubation for developing and launching Student-Centric-
Satellites in respective institutions, in coming days. We have identified interested
teams/agencies from Israel, France, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Russia and USA as an
international collaboration to shape our Students Satellites Programmes among Indian
institutions, in future with global financial support on mutually agreeable terms.
The international seminar focused on Small Satellite Technologies, Global Operations,
technology intervention, Launching Mechanism by Internationally renowned speakers.
