1. What do you mean by written communication?

Written communication involves any type of interaction that makes use of
the written word. It is a two way information sharing process which involves one
party sending a message that is easily understood by the receiving party.
Communication is a key to any endeavor involving more than one person.
Written messages do not have to be delivered on the spur of the moment;
instead, they can be edited and revised several times before they are sent so
that the content can be shaped to maximum effect. Written communication
provides a permanent record of the messages and can be saved for later study.
Since they are permanent, written forms of communication also enable
recipients to take more time in reviewing the message and providing
appropriate feedback.

2. What is business letter?

A business letter is a letter written in formal language, usually used when
writing from one business organization to another, or for correspondence
between such organizations and their customers, clients and other external
parties. The overall style of letter will depend on the relationship between the
parties concerned. There are many reasons to write a business letter. It could be
to request direct information or action from another party, to order supplies from
a supplier, to identify a mistake that was committed, to reply directly to a
request, to apologize for a wrong or simply to convey goodwill. Even today, the
business letter is still very useful because it produces a permanent record, is
confidential, formal and delivers persuasive, well-considered messages.

3. What is office memo?

In a short sense, memo is a written message from one person to another
person within the same organization. Office memo is the short form of
memorandum. The literal meaning of the word memorandum is a note to assist
the memory.
A memo can be used:

 To issue instructions to the stuff.

 To communicate regarding policy changes to the staff.
 To give/seek suggestions
 To request help or information to confirm a decision arrived at on the
telephone, etc.
However, a memo may not be found appropriate if the matter is of a
complex or serious nature involving lengthy discussion.

A memo can be filed for future reference. Therefore, it acts as an

evidence to serve legal issues.

4. Some expressions of non-verbal communication.

Non-verbal communications include facial expressions, the tone and
pitch of the voice, gestures displayed through body language and the physical
distance between the communicators. These non-verbal signals can give clues
and additional information and meaning over and above spoken (verbal)
communication.
What Pierre’s Boulgarie can Offer?

Most of the time you eat lunch or snacks with your friends and colleagues
at the fast food place near your working place. You order your usual double
cheeseburger with French fries for snacks or fried chicken and fried rice for lunch
and go to sit down with your friends. They’re standing by the wall, waiting for
another group to get up so you can sit at your usual table. Ten minutes go by
before the group finally leaves. When you sit down and look at your cell phone,
you realize that you have spent almost half an hour!
Aside from wasting time, fast food is extremely unhealthy. Eating foods
with such high fat content everyday can cause health issues such as diabetes,
obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. A double cheeseburger from a
popular fast food chain contains 421 calories and 21 grams of fat! In recent
years, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of people who struggle
with obesity. Persons with health issues have difficulty with their work and often
are unable to participate in all the activities that they wish to.
Why waste time for waiting and have struggle for a long queue in a fast
food when you can enjoy your time eating nutritious foods with your friends in the
most convenient place? Come and try the new bakery and coffee shop called
‘Pierres’s Boulgarie’. A place that you can spend your precious time It will be
opened in Green Meadows shopping center on September 8, 2015.
The coffee shop offered artisanal breads with special flour imported from
France. Other popular flavors added to bread include specialty olive oils, fresh
herbs, cheeses such as feta, goat and gorgonzola, olives, garlic, tomatoes,
onions and peppers. Multifaceted flavors and health-promoting ingredients are
influencing product innovations. Mintel’s Global New Products Database (GNPD)
shows that fortified, soy-based and low-sodium products enhance bread’s
naturally healthful properties. Additionally, more low-carb and low-sugar entries
have been rolled.

The owner, Pierre Gilbert, emigrated from France to this country and has
spent the last two years equipping and decorating the bakery. He personally
made the designs in minimalist style yet cozy and comfortable to stay in. He also
provides work for the young ex-prisoners giving them chance to earn for their
living. The handcrafted light brown wooden furniture in the coffee shop was
made by them through the help of the local workers from a sheltered co-
operative, which was established to give them trade skills training.
So I think there is much to be said for this ‘Pierres’s Boulgarie’. The owner
will be glad to know that health issue will be lowered. Money and time can be
saved. Finally, we could also help young ex-prisoners. It is hoped that the bakery
will prove to be popular with the local community.
