 PREFACE
This project Online Recruitment System is an online website in which jobseekers can register
themselves online and apply for job. Online Recruitment System provides online help to the
users in NITs and IITs. Using web recruitment systems like recruitment websites or jobsites also
play a role in simplifying the recruitment process. Such websites have facilities where
prospective candidates can upload their CV’s and apply for jobs suited to them. Such sites also
make it possible for recruiters and companies to post their staffing requirements and view
profiles of interested candidates. Earlier recruitment was done manually and it was all at a time
consuming work. Now it is all possible in a fraction of second. It is all done online without much
time consuming. Today’s recruitment applications are designed to do a whole lot more than just
reduce paperwork. They can make a significant contribution to a company’s marketing and sales
activity. Recruitment websites and software make possible for managers to access information
that is crucial to managing their staff, which they can use for promotion decisions, payroll
considerations and succession planning.

Online Recruitment System enables the users to have the typical examination facilities and
features at their disposal. It resolves typical issues of manual examination processes and
activities into a controlled and closely monitored work flow in the architecture of the application.
This multi-platform solution brings in by default, the basic intelligence and immense possibilities
for further extension of the application as required by the user. The system makes it friendly to
distribute, share and manage the examination entities with higher efficiency and easiness. The
objective of these websites is to serve as a common meeting ground for jobseekers and
employers, both locally and globally, where the candidates find their dream jobs and recruiters
find the right candidate to fulfill their needs. These sites are specifically designed for those who
seek the most demanding and challenging positions in their chosen field, with the most dynamic
employers. Thousands of websites compete for your attention-each has its own unique interface,
URL and peculiarities.

After the completion of SMDP-II , another integrated program ,Special Manpower Development
Program for Chip to System Design (SMDP-C2SD) has been initiated by Ministry Of
Electronics & Information Technology(MeitY), Govt. of India .It focuses on developing
manpower in the field of VLSI and also stresses on making of working prototypes of System on
Chip using FPGA/ASIC ICs designed in the due course of the program. SMDP-C2SD aims at
strengthening the research base in VLSI Design and introducing the culture of System on Chip
design in the technical institutions across the country through collaborative efforts of Resource
Centres(RC) and Participating Institutions(PI).

IIT Guwahati is one of the Resource Centre under this program. The other participating
institutions associated with IIT Guwahati are NIT Agartala, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT
Manipur, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Mizoram, NIT Nagaland. VLSI design laboratories with
advanced EDA tools have been set up to be used by Resource Centres and the Participating
Institutions.It provides several resources for the use of students, staffs and faculties. The EDA
tools and information are being used in the various courses taught during the course of Post-
graduate and Research Programs.

These failures will Emphasis the whole development procedure.

We should look for the whole prospective in the near future for a successful, most popular, light
weighted and user-friendly website which will be frequently updated with some extra new
features as well as attractive altering ornamentations in the user interface.
 CONCLUSION
In this project we have created an online job recruitment system for SMDP-C2SD.An interactive
portal is created for students and job recruiters to ease and quicken the process of job recruitment
system.

For the employers, a section is created where after the verification is done, they are given a login
Id and password. After that the companies have to add their company details and then provide
the post of job they want employees for. A last date of submission is set. During this time the
interested students need to apply and after that their application will not be accepted.

For students, there is a section where they first register and then enter their marks. On their job
apply section of the portal; they can see the jobs on basis of job post, salary and the company
name. They can then apply before the last date for job based on their area of interest. A separate
section is also created for students where they can update their profile to make it more attractive
for the employers. Here the students can give the link to their own website or any other social
network Id.

The students as well as employers have options to change their existing password and also to
deactivate their account if they wish so.
