ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

 Timing: (8-10 for groups of 2) / (12-15 minutes for groups of 3)

Instructions

 8-10 minute group presentation. (2 people) / 12-15 minute group presentation. (3 people)
 Use any kind of visual aid (power point presentations, posters, pictures, etc.) to make your presentation
more interesting for your classmates. Do not include words in your visual material.
 You are allowed to use notes but they should only contain ideas to be developed and not complete
sentences or paragraphs.
 Reading is not allowed during the presentation.
 Check the words you will need in the dictionary as well as their pronunciation.
 You will be evaluated according to your ability to use grammar and vocabulary appropriately, your
pronunciation, how well connected your presentation is, and your ability to communicate non-verbally with
the class (including eye contact and visual aids).
 Self (5%) and peer (10%) evaluations will also be considered. Be true to you and your partner(s).

Suggested outline
 Introduce the topic by saying what you’re going to talk about and why.
 Present your topic.
 Provide evidence to make your point.
 End your presentation by providing a group opinion about the topic you dealt with.

Remember that you’re not allowed to read during your presentation. Check the necessary words in the dictionary
as well as their pronunciation, and use time effectively in terms of length and balance between members of the
group.
