GUIDE TO HYPNOSIS

HOW TO GUIDE SOMEONE INTO HYPNOSIS: NOTE THAT I SAID GUIDE, YOU CAN NEVER, HYNOTISE SOMEONE, THEY MUST
BE WILLING. OK, THE SUBJECT MUST BE LYING OR
SITTING IN A COMFORTABLE POSITION, RELAXED, AND AT A TIME WHEN THINGS
ARENT GOING TO BE INTERRUPTED.
TELL THEM THE FOLLOWING OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO IT, IN A PEACEFUL,MONOTINOUS
TONE (NOT A COMMANDING TONE OF VOICE)
NOTE: LIGHT A CANDLE AND PLACE IT SOMEWHERE WHERE IT CAN BE EASILY
SEEN.
TAKE A DEEP BREATH THROUGH YOUR NOSE AND HOLD IT IN FOR A COUNT OF
8. NOW,
THROUGH YOUR MOUTH, EXHALE COMPLETELY AND SLOWLY. CONTINUED
BREATHING
LONG,
DEEP, BREATHS THROUGH YOUR NOSE AND EXHALING THROUGH YOUR
MOUTH. TENSE UP
ALL YOUR MUSCLES VERY TIGHT, NOW, COUNTING FROM TEN TO ONE,
RELEASE THEM
SLOWLY, YOU WILL FIND THEM VERY RELAXED. NOW, LOOK AT THE CANDLE,
AS
YOU LOOK AT IT, WITH EVERY BREATH AND PASSING MOMEMENT, YOU ARE
FEELING
INCREASINGLY MORE AND MORE PEACEFUL AND RELAXED. THE CANDLES
FLAME IS
PEACEFUL AND BRIGHT.
AS YOU LOOK AT IT I WILL COUNT FROM 100 DOWN, AS A COUNT, YOUR EYES
WILL
BECOME MORE AND MORE RELAXED, GETTING MORE AND MORE TIRED WITH
EACH
PASSING MOMENT."
NOW, COUNT DOWN FROM 100, ABOUT EVERY 10 NUMBERS SAY "WHEN I
REACH XX YOUR
EYES (OR YOU WILL FIND YOUR EYES) ARE BECOMING MORE AND MORE
TIRED." TELL
THEM THEY MAY CLOSE THEIR EYES WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT. IF THE
PERSONS
EYES ARE STILL OPEN WHEN YOU GET TO 50 THEN INSTEAD OF SAYING
"YOUR EYES WILL.."
SAY "YOUR EYES ARE...".
WHEN THEIR EYES ARE SHUT SAY THE FOLLOWING. AS YOU LIE (OR SIT) HERE
WITH
YOUR EYES COMFORTABLY CLOSE YOU FIND YOURSELF RELAXING MORE AND
MORE WITH EACH MOMENT AND BREATH.
THE RELAXATION FEELS PLEASANT AND BLISSFUL SO, YOU HAPPILY GIVE
WAY TO
THIS WONDERFUL FEELING. IMAGINGE YOURSELF ON A CLOUD, RESTING
PEACEFULLY,
WITH A SLIGHT BREEZE CARESSING YOUR BODY. A TINGLING SENSASION
BEGINS
TO WORK ITS WAY, WITHIN AND WITHOUT YOUR TOES, IT SLOWLY MOVES UP
YOUR
FEET, MAKING THEM WARM, HEAVY AND RELAXED. THE CLOUD IS SOFT AND
SUPPORTS
YOUR BODY WITH ITS SOFT TEXTURE, THE SCENE IS PEACEFUL AND
ABSORBING,
THE PEACEFULNESS ABSORBS YOU COMPLETELY...
THE TINGLING GENTLY AND SLOWLY MOVES UP YOUR LEGS, RELAXING
THEM.
MAKING THEM WARM AND HEAVY. THE RELAXATION FEELS VERY GOOD, IT
FEELS SO
GOOD TO RELAX AND LET GO. AS THE TINGLING CONTINUES ITS JOURNEY UP
INTO
YOUR SOLAR PLEXUS, YOU FEEL YOUR INNER STOMACH BECOME VERY
RELAXED. NOW,
IT MOVES SLOWLY INTO YOUR CHEST, MAKING YOUR BREATHING RELAXED
AS WELL.
THE FEELING BEGINS TO MOVE UP YOUR ARMS TO YOUR SHOULDERS, MAKING
YOUR
ARMS
HEAVY AND RELAXED AS WELL. YOU ARE AWARE OF THE TOTAL RELAXATION
YOU ARE
NOW EXPERIENCING, AND YOU GIVE WAY TO IT. IT IS GOOD AND PEACEFUL,
THE
TINGLING NOW MOVEVES INTO YOUR FACE AND HEAD, RELAXING YOUR
JAWS, NECK,
AND
FACIAL MUSCLES, MAKING YOUR CARES AND WORRIES FLOAT AWAY. AWAY
INTO THE
BLUE SKY AS YOU REST BLISFUlLY ON THE CLOUD....
IF THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIVE OR YOU THINK THEY (HE OR SHE..) IS GOING
TO
SLEEP, THEN ADD IN A "...ALWAYS CONCENTRATING UPON MY VOICE,
INGORING ALL
OTHER SOUNDS. EVEN THOUGH OTHER SOUNDS EXSIST, THEY AID YOU IN
YOUR
RELAXATION..." THEY SHOULD SOON LET OUT A SIGH AS IF THEY WERE
LETTING GO,
AND THEIR FACE SHOULD HAVE A "WOODENESS" TO IT, BECOMING
FEATURLESS...
NOW,
SAY THE FOLLOWING ".... YOU NOW FIND YOURSELF IN A HALLWAY, THE
HALLWAY
IS
PEACEFUL AND NICE. AS I COUNT FROM 10 TO 1 YOU WILL IMAGINE YOURSELF
WALKING FURTHER AND FURTHER DOWN THE HALL. WHEN I REACH ONE YOU
WILL FIND
YOURSELF WHERE YOU WANT TO BE, IN ANOTHER, HIGHER STATE OF
CONCIOUS AND
MIND. (COUNT FROM TEN TO ONE)....." DO THIS ABOUT THREE OR FOUR
TIMES.
THEN, TO TEST IF THE SUBJECT IS UNDER HYPNOSIS OR NOT, SAY....
"...YOU FEEL A STRANGE SENSATION IN YOUR (ARM THEY WRITE WITH) ARM,
THE
FEELING BEGINS AT YOUR FINGERS AND SLOWLY MOVES UP YOUR ARM, AS IT
MOVES
THROUGH YOUR ARM YOUR ARM BECOMES LIGHTER AND LIGHTER, IT WILL
SOON BE SO
LIGHT IT WILL ..... BECOMING LIGHTER AND LIGHTER WHICH EACH BREATH
AND
MOMENT..."
THEIR FINGERS SHOULD BEGIN TO TWITCH AND THEN MOVE UP, THE ARM
FOLLOWING,
NOW MY FRIEND, YOU HAVE HIM/HEP IN HYPNOSIS. THE FIRST TIME YOU DO
THIS,
WHILE HE/SHE IS UNDER SAY GOOD THINGS, LIKE: "YOUR GOING TO FEEL
GREAT
TOMORROW" OR "EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF
BECOMING
BETTER
AND BETTER".. OR SOME CRAP LIKE THAT... THE MORE THEY GO UNDER, THE
DEEPER
IN HYPNOSIS THEY WILL GET EACH TIME YOU DO IT.
+----------------------------+
! WHAT TO DO WHEN HYPNOTISED !
+----------------------------+
WHEN YOU HAVE THEM UNDER YOU MUST WORD THINGS VERY CAREFULLY TO
GET YOUR
WAY. YOU CANNOT SIMPLY SAY... TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES AND FUCK THE
PILLOW.
NO, THAT WOULD NOT REALLY DO THE TRICK. YOU MUST SAY SOMETHING
LIKE....
"YOU FIND YOUR SELF AT HOME, IN YOUR ROOM AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE A
SHOWER
(VIVIDLY DESCRIBE THEIR ROOM AND WHATS HAPPENING), YOU BEGIN TO
TAKE OFF
YOUR CLOTHES..." NOW, IT CANT BE THAT SIMPLE, YOU MUST KNOW THE
PERSONS
HOUSE, ROOM, AND SHOWER ROOM. THEN DESCRIBE THINGS VIVIDLY AND
TELL THEM
TO ACT IT OUT (THEY HAVE TO BE DEEPLY UNDER TO DO THIS...). I WOULD
JUST
SUGGEST THAT YOU EXPERIMENT A WHILE, AND GET TO KNOW HO; TO DO
THINGS.
+-----------+
! WAKING UP !
+-----------+
WAKING UP IS VERY EASY, JUST SAY.. "...AS I COUNT FROM 1 TO 5 YOU WILL
FIND YOURSELF BECOMMING MORE AND MORE AWAKE, MORE AND MORE
LIVELY. WHEN
YOU WAKE UP YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF COMPLETELY ALIVE, AWAKE, AND
REFRESHED.
MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, REMEMBERING THE PLEASANT SENSATION
THAT HYPNOSIS
BRINGS... WAKING UP FEELING LIKE A NEW BORN BABY, REBORN WITH LIFE
AND
VIGOR, FEELING EXCELLENT. REMEMBERING THAT NEXT TIME YOU ENTER
HYPNOSIS IT
WILL BECOME AN EVER INCREASING DEEPER AND DEEPER STATE THAN
BEFORE.
1- YOU FEEL ENERGY COURSE THROUGHOUT YOUR LIMBS.
2- YOU BEGIN TO BREATHE DEEPLY, STIRRING.
3- BEGINING TO MOVE MORE AND MORE YOUR EYES OPEN, BRINGING YOU UP
TO
FULL CONCIOUS.
4- YOU ARE UP,UP, UP AND AWAKENING MORE AND MORE.
5- YOU ARE AWAKE AND FEELING GREAT."
AND THATS IT! YOU NOW KNOW HOW TO HYPNOTISE YOURSELF AND SOMEONE
ELSE.
YOU WILL LEARN MORE AND MORE AS YOU EXPERIMENT.

About Hypnosis

Most often, past life memories are explored through the use of hypnotic regression, which means you are put into a
"hypnotic" or highly relaxed state, and then "regressed" (moved backward) to an earlier time. If you have never undergone
hypnosis before, you may have a number of misunderstandings about what it is and how it works. Quite simply, it is a way
of entering a very relaxed state whereby your memory is enhanced and the limits and constraints of the logical, conscious
mind can be bypassed. In this state it is easier to call up images and symbols, just like we do when we’re dreaming. In
hypnosis, however, you are not "asleep." Other than being very relaxed, you remain aware and conscious of what is going
on around you, while also being able to focus on inner images and feelings more completely. For those who meditate, it
feels familiar to a meditative state. You do not "give up control" to the therapist, in fact you give feedback and remain in
control of the session at all times. And although the therapist can give you positive suggestions to help you in your normal
conscious life, (for example, when hypnosis is used to stop smoking, or lose weight), no one can "program" you to do
something that goes against your desires or beliefs.

Those Las Vegas hypnotists who have people acting like chickens on stage are using volunteers who already have a streak
of exhibitionist in them, even if not consciously acknowledged.

What if I don’t experience anything?

Most people wonder if a regression will really work for them. It is only on rare occasions that clients do not bring up past
life material. Instead, a memory from early childhood that seems pertinent to the issue of concern comes up, or we find that
current life situations or anxieties intervene and need to be worked on first. What works best is to approach the experience
with an open mind, not expecting anything in particular. (For example, if you approach a regression just knowing you’re
going to discover a lifetime when you were a fighter pilot, this might get in the way of what really comes up.)

Many people expect that they’re going to see their past life vividly, in great detail. This isn’t always the case, especially
when experiencing your first regression. Although some clients find they "see" things in their mind’s eye quite clearly,
others may find the impressions somewhat vague, only portions coming in clearly. Information comes through in a number
of ways -- physical sensations (like feeling hot or cold), hearing what people are saying around you, just knowing something
intuitively all of a sudden. The best approach is to focus on the images and feelings you experience, don’t worry about
whether it makes sense or is "real" or not, and trust whatever comes up at the time.

Typically, people who have a regular meditation or relaxation practice move most quickly into a past life regression
experience. This shows that this is a skill that can be learned. The more you practice, the more detailed your experiences
will be and the more easily memories will be recovered. However, there are also people who have never done any relaxation
practice that recover detailed information quickly and easily. The only way to know how it works for you is to give it a try.
It is helpful if you have a specific question or issue you would like to explore, but it can also be left open to your inner
guidance to bring up a memory that has pertinence for your current life.

How Past Life Therapy Works

Most of us have had the experience of meeting someone for the first time, and falling immediately into a comfortable
relationship "just like old friends." Or visiting a new part of the world, only to find it feeling very familiar to us somehow.
These are often instances of re-encountering people and places we have known in prior lifetimes.

We unconsciously carry forward experiences, attitudes, and relationship dynamics from prior lives into our current lifetimes.
Many times this is beneficial, as in cases where we just have a "knack" for numbers, or seem to master a new skill or area of
study as if we already knew it. Other times, traumatic experiences (like a violent death or loss of a loved one) are left
unresolved, relationships are left unhealed, or attitudes and decisions may be carried forward from a past lifetime that are
detrimental to our current life. That is where regression therapy has traditionally been used, in resolving these experiences
from the past that are blocking our progress and happiness now. (In more recent times, it is also being applied to carry
forward strengths and positive experiences.)

Trauma and issues from the past can be reactivated by events in our current lifetime without our conscious awareness. We
might react to people and situations in ways that seem counter-productive, or we have a "gridlock" problem that we can’t
seem to resolve no matter what we try. It may be because the problem is actually rooted in dynamics set up in prior
personalities/lifetimes.

In past life therapy we regress clients (to regress means to go or move backward) to the time and place where the original
activating event occurred. This can be achieved through hypnosis, guided imagery, or other states of deep relaxation where
memories that are normally unconscious can be accessed. Similar techniques can be used to access early childhood
memories from the current lifetime that may be underlying present-day problems and issues. By bringing these memories
into conscious awareness, we can release or diffuse the energy and emotional blockages that keep us stuck. Typically, the
therapist guides the client through the significant events of the lifetime, through the death experience, and then a "life
review." This is where the purpose of that lifetime, the lessons learned, and decisions made are examined from a higher,
spiritual perspective. We particularly look at what is most important about that prior life in terms of the client’s current
personality and situation.

Re-experiencing the key events of a past life and reprocessing the impact helps to bring closure to the events of that
lifetime. This enables us to move forward more freely in the present. The process is similar to conventional therapy: we
trace issues to their origin, reprocess the experience, emotions, and decisions made, and find completion. Past life regression
work merely extends the time frame further into the past for the deeper origins of issues. Even if one believes these
"memories" are not true past life experiences, they function as symbolic stories and are equally as effective in resolving
current issues.

Once considered a "new age" gimmick, regression therapy is becoming accepted in the mainstream as an extremely useful
therapeutic tool. It can be a rapid way to bring up material in a single or just a few sessions, that might otherwise take many
months of traditional counseling to address. And it can be useful, as well, for those who would not otherwise consider
themselves in need of counseling or therapy service -- people who want to expand their experience, draw upon inner
wisdom, and connect with loved ones across the ages.

What about Reincarnation & Karma?

Past life regression work goes hand in hand with theories of reincarnation. This is a concept that has evoked a variety of
reactions in the western world, from ridicule to condemnation – essentially fear-based reactions to something unfamiliar and
misunderstood. Interestingly enough, although the public perception of reincarnation may still evoke jokes about Shirley
McLaine hanging "Out on a Limb," millions have read her and other books on this subject. The public image doesn’t
accurately reflect what people believe in private -- a recent Gallup poll showed that 27% of adult Americans admitted
anonymously that they believed in reincarnation.

There really is nothing to fear from the concept of reincarnation. Today over half the world’s population espouses this belief
-- for good reason. There is a great sense of serenity that comes from knowing that the deepest parts of ourselves will
always exist, that we are much more that just our current physical bodies, and that we have many opportunities to master
human existence and learn the lessons we are here to learn. For many people, the idea just makes sense.
Along with reincarnation, the topic of "karma" usually also comes up. Borrowed from Hinduism, the typical Westerner
interprets karma as "predestination" -- everything is set before our birth, we have no real choice in how our lives unfold. In
reality, karma is the good old concept of "what goes around, comes around." It refers to the continuity of soul experience,
the fact that we will reap the consequences of both prior good works and prior unloving deeds. For example, if a lifetime
has been spent with very negative, racist attitudes and actions, then we may have the opportunity to experience this from the
other side of the fence in a subsequent life, as the member of a group who is discriminated against or even persecuted. An
individual who commits suicide to escape from perceived difficulties, will undoubtedly have the opportunity to meet similar
problems and situations more creatively in another lifetime. Although karma may contribute to the types of situations we
may face, we have free will in each and every moment to choose our response – either through love and connection, or
through negativity and fear. If we choose the latter, we will have opportunities to learn the lesson again.

Nevertheless, you do not have to believe in reincarnation or karmic justice for past life therapy to work for you! As long as
you can hold an open mind to the experience, your belief system does not prevent you from being a good subject for this
technique. I approach the material that comes up as a wonderfully powerful story or metaphor for whatever issues we’re
exploring in your life. It is up to you to decide whether you wish to regard this material as a "real" past life, or something
else. It does not matter as far as the effectiveness of the technique. I have been successful recovering past life memories
with people from widely different spiritual traditions and belief systems.

When Past Life Therapy Can Help

Of course, not all problems and issues are rooted in experiences from prior lifetimes. It is important to distinguish when we
have a current life issue that needs to be addressed through other means. Some of the more significant areas in which past
life therapy has traditionally been used are:
Troubling behavior and attitude patterns that have persisted over time, despite attempts to change
Relationship dynamics that seem to have a life of their own (intense attraction/aversion to another person, deep-seated
issues that defy resolution)
Phobias – intense fears, such as fear of heights or fear of water, that seem unconnected to an experience in the current life
Some chronic physical ailments, sensations and pains
Dominant attitudes or emotions that seem to persist throughout your life

There are some newer areas in which past life therapy is being applied as well, that are quite exciting and rewarding. Rather
than going after traumatic or troubling memories, they focus on positive experiences. These areas include:
Accessing strengths and accomplishments from prior lifetimes that can be brought forward to increase confidence and
effectiveness in the present
Re-experiencing a happy, successful lifetime; this can bring a sense of balance and peace when undergoing difficult times,
fortifying us to work through our temporary difficulties
Clarifying direction and life purpose by viewing one’s blueprint for this lifetime
Finding prior lifetimes shared with current loved ones, bringing a great sense of reassurance that we are indeed never parted
from those we love
Accessing the wisdom, peace and guidance that is available from the "interlife," (spiritual realms between lifetimes) where
our higher mind and/or guiding ones can assess our progress and give direction to us for our current lifetime
Strengthening the clarity of the spiritual nature of our existence.
