Host -Japan Executive Committee:


IBA Japan is governed by an Executive Committee. This group is elected annually
from amongst all member firms. All members of Exco are country heads of their firms
in Japan. The Executive Committee sets out the overall direction of the Association,
strategic priorities, and decides on areas of engagement.

Co-host- Junior Chamber International (JCI) Japan, Asia Global Network Council:
There is only one basic requirement for being a member of Junior Chamber International:
one must be between 20 and 40 years of age. There are approximately 700 Local
Organizations throughout Japan with about 35,000 active members and JCI Japan is
divided into 10 Districts and 47 Bloc Councils, all working in close cooperation with one
another to promote the Jaycee movement nationwide.
Since being founded, JCI Japan has aimed to build a bright and prosperous society,
through community and personal development. All activities are carried out based on the
three principles of Training, Service and Fellowship, and the members promote and carry
out projects based on these principles.

 Courtesy Visit to the Prime Minister’s Official Residence


The Prime Minister's Official Residence (総理大臣官邸 Sōri Daijin Kantei) or
(首相官邸 Shushō Kantei) is the principal workplace and residence of
the Prime Minister of Japan. Located at 2-3-1 Nagata-chō, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-
8968, it is diagonally adjacent to the National Diet Building. The new residence went
into service in April 2002 and replaced the former residence, built in 1929. The former
residence is now known as the Sōri Kōtei (総理公邸), Prime Minister's Residential
Quarters. The term Kantei is used as a metonym for the office of the Prime Minister of
Japan and for the Prime Minister's advisors and administration in general.
In addition to the Prime Minister's Official Residence being the principal office
of the Prime Minister, the Chief Cabinet Secretary and the Deputy Cabinet
Secretaries perform their daily duties, it is also the place where important
Cabinet meetings take place, where foreign leaders are welcomed and
entertained, and is also the location of a national crisis management center.

Shinzō Abe

-is a Japanese politician serving as the 63rd and current Prime Minister of
Japan and Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) since 2012, previously being the
57th officeholder from 2006 to 2007. He is the third-longest serving Prime Minister in post-
war Japan. Abe comes from a politically prominent family and was first elected Prime
Minister by a special session of the National Diet in September 2006. Then aged 52, he
became Japan's youngest post-war Prime Minister and the first to have been born
after World War II. Abe resigned on 12 September 2007 for health reasons. He was
replaced by Yasuo Fukuda, the first in a series of five Prime Ministers who failed to retain
office for more than sixteen months.

 Visit to MEIJI KINENKAN (Memorial Hall)
Managed by the Meiji Shrine, Meiji Kinenkan was the first wedding hall offering a
comprehensive range of services to be opened in Japan. It is located in a separate part
of the Outer Gardens of the Meiji Shrine.The total area of the site is about 3,300㎡.
The main hall is a place historical interest since the drafts of the former Imperial
Constitution and the Imperial House Act were discussed in the presence of the Meiji
Emperor. Since then, Meiji Kinenkan has been a very popular attraction to many people,
offering a multitude of uses.

MEIJI SHRINE
Meiji Shrine (明治神宮 Meiji Jingū), located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is
the Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor
Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken. The shrine does not contain the
emperor's grave, which is located at Fushimi-momoyama, south
of Kyoto.
During the visit to Meiji shrine, you will take part in a “formal Sanpai”
“formal Sanpai” – a simple religious service paying homage to the
shrine.
To make a formal sanpai, visitors inform a clerk at a shrine office of
their intention of making a formal sanpai and then enter into the
Haiden.
 Observation Tour of AKASAKA PALACE (State Guest House)
-Akasaka palace is one of the two State Guesthouses of the Government of Japan. The
palace was originally built as the Imperial Palace for the Crown Prince (東宮御所 Togu
gosho) in 1909. Today the palace is designated by the government of Japan as an official
accommodation for visiting state dignitaries. Located in the Moto-
Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, the building took on its present function in 1974, having
previously been an imperial detached palace. In 2009 the palace was designated as
a National Treasure of Japan.

Tokyo, Japan. Their flagship hotel, the Hotel New Otani Tokyo opened
in 1964. New Otani Hotels operates 18 hotels in, and 2 hotels outside,
Japan. The Hotel New Otani Tokyo is a large hotel located
in Tokyo, Japan operated by New Otani Hotels. It has hosted numerous
heads of state and is home to a 400-year-old garden.

The House of Representatives (衆議院 Shūgiin) is the lower house of t
he National Diet of Japan. The House of Councilors is the upper house.
The House of Representatives has 465 members, elected for a four-year term. Of
these, 176 members are elected from 11 multi-member constituencies by a
party-list system of proportional representation, and 289 are elected from
single-member constituencies. 233 seats are required for a majority.
