I. Introduction

When calamities rise up people’s need will increase. Water is one of the most
needed fluid in our body that we need to maintain so we can survive the
horrifying effects of a calamity. When calamities occur, water supply is cut off
immediately to ensure safety, but how about the people affected by these services.
This project can help in times of need especially by providing water.

II. Statement of the Problem

This study aims to answer the following questions:
 What is the volume of pure water obtained from 100ml of salt water.
 Is the water obtained from the designated areas safe to drink.

III. Hypotheses
If we use different variables coming from different chosen areas, then we
will have different results on our study.
If there are different levels of saltiness in the chosen areas, then there will
be different level of test to be conducted.

IV. Methodology
16 inches x 20 inches Metal box
1 meter Metallic hose
Bunsen Burner
4 inches x 4 inches Metallic Container
3 inches x 3 inches Purifier
V. Procedure
1. Prepare a clean metal box and make a hole on the edge of the upper left and lower right
side.
2. Stick the Bunsen burner in the corner left side inside the box.
3. Make sure you make an opening to access the Bunsen burner.
4. Make another hole on the upper side of the left part in the box.
5. Install the container (metallic container) right above the Bunsen burner.
6. Connect the metallic container with the metallic hose to another container lower beside
the Bunsen burner.
7. Attach the purifier in the first hole to the upper part of the left hole.
8. Put the container that collects the purified water in the right side next to the Bunsen
burner.
9. After placing the container, place the metallic hose at the edge of the container that is
connected to the edge which is the opening of the hole.
10. Make sure that the box is secure.

VII. Risks and Safety
 When boiling is in process make sure not to touch the metal opening.
 If possible explosions occur, extinguish it immediately.
 Secure and check the materials for any dirt, rust or defect.

VIII. Budget
Estimated budget:
Metal box -Php 150
Metallic hose -Php 50
Bunsen burner -Php 100
Metallic container -Php100
Purifier -Php50
Php550.00
