BACKGROUND

Geophyscics, the science which deals with the physical structure and substance of the earth,
their history, and the processes which act on them. Coverage of geophysical sciences such as
gravity methods, sedimentology, structural geology, seismicity and others. Similarly, its
application, one of the geophysical sciences in the field of petroleum (petroleum geology). To
develop the knowledge and understanding of the application of geophyisical sciences in the
field of oil and gas, held Workshop and Company Visit Schlumberger Cikarang Integrated
Base: Drilling of Oil and Gas Wells

OBJECTIVES

Related to our commitment to feed Geophysics Students needs, this event has some objectives
to reach to, and those are:

 To understand both Geological and Geophysical concept of drilling of oil and gas wells
 To compare theoretical concept that have been given at classroom with the condition of
workroom.
 To tighten a good relation between Geosciences UI and related Company, and educate
the students about Company profile.

HMGF UI decided to hold Company Visit to Schlumberger Cikarang Integrated Base.

Company Visit activity requires more preparation from HMGF UI and Schlumberger Cikarang
Integrated Base, including a material supports. Hopefully both of us can prepare for the event.

FIELD INSTRUCTOR

Hopefully, this event could be lead by some instructors, which are Petroleum Geogists and
Geophysicists of Schlumberger Cikarang Integrated Base
