REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF FIRE PROTECTION
SYSTEM

❖ Objective:

This methology, describe the method of removal and installation of Fire Protection Suppression
System as per condition of the work in Site/Project area.

❖ Scopes:

This procedure applies to project site, which requires Fire Protection Suppression System work,
which is carried out by the company.

❖ Handling and Storage:

Pre-delivery and Storage Preparation
a. Prepare delivery schedule and check site condition as well as the storage area.
b. Prior to deliver of materials to site, survey and make all necessary co-ordination with
the main contractor as regards to access for the save transportation of the said
materials to designated location.
c. Coordinate with site works responsible for the system installation.
Incoming Storage at Site
a. Check model and type of materials against delivery order
b. Check any damage during transportation.
c. If there is any evidence of damage, an internal inspection shall be made together
with supplier’s and contractor’s representative. A report shall be submitted and shall
be conduct an inspection.
❖ Work Methology:
Removal of Fire Protection Suppression System as per actual condition of site/project.
a. Check the site condition if whereas the safest area that need to start.
b. Tightening all the threaded fittings and the supports.
c. Keep it in the safe area, all the fitting that was remove of the system.

Installation of Fire Protection Suppression System as of new location.

a. Analyze, check and make a new layout of the new location of the system.
b. Prepare all the materials of the system; including (pipes, fittings and other materials
that will complete the system).
c. Install all the materials, pipes and fitting of the system.
 d. Make sure that they have a fully support of the new location of the system as per
site condition.
❖ Inspection, Testing, and Commissioning:
a. Need to conduct a testing of the new location of the system using pressurize pump
or other tools that need to commissioning test. (Hydro-static Test and Leak Test)
b. Check all the pipe line if they have no any leaking or damage.
c. In inspection, we need a coordination of the main contractor and also in our
supervisor/representative that witness the testing and commissioning process.
d. Check and submit the testing result to the head of the main contractor.
