USER INSTRUCTIONS

1. It is recommended that the user ensures the appliance has been set up correctly.
Manufacturers do not guarantee the unit damage resulting from unsuitable installation
or incorrect maintenance or use.

2. Before operating the oven carefully read the operating manual. Manufacturers reserve
the right to make changes to these instructions without communication to the user.

3. Installation, maintenance and repairs must be carried out by qualified personnel.

4. Lighting the oven

 Select the temperature. Follow procedure Fig. 3.

 Select the cooking time. Follow procedure Fig. 3.

5. Turning off the oven. Set the temperature to 0. Turn the main switch to position 0.

MAINTENANCE SUGGESTIONS

 Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before carrying out any
maintenance.
 Keep the oven clean. Do not wash the appliance with high pressure water jets. Do not
use steel wool pads or metal scrapers which could deposit small ferrous particles that
might rust. The oven interior should be cleaned daily with particular attention to the fan
area, shelf supports and any filters. The procedure is as follows: spray or apply a
recommends cleaner all over the interior of the oven. Particular care should be taken to
protect hands, eyes and face and avoid breathing any fumes produced. Do not use
detergent containing abrasives as this will damage the surface of your oven.

FUNCTIONS SUGGESTIONS

 TEC ovens work by means of the circulation of hot air. This system allows us to cook
backed pasta, roast meats, grilled meats, and pastries, defrost frozen foods and cook
from frozen not to mention many other things. Your oven will reduce shrinkage during
cooking.

 Ensure that there is a distance of at least 4 cm. between each shelf. Hot air must be
free to circulate above and below each cooking level.

 Use shallow pans with low edges for cooking, flat trays for pastries and pizzas, to allow
free circulation of air.

 Food should be well spaced on the cooking surface.

 Pre-heat the oven before cooking.

COOKING SUGGESTIONS

Roasting joints, game, and chicken:

- Larger the joint lower the temperature should be (i.e. 160°C). Cooking with higher
temperatures increase the risk that food is cooked on the outside faster than the inside.
Chickens cook better if they are cut open or into pieces.
- When you use a pan for cooking always grease the base with oil or batter, and if
cooking battered foods ensure that the batter is very light so it does not come away
during cooking.
- If you have a humidifier use it during cooking - this will result in less loss of weight and
a more uniform cooking of your food. If you do not have a humidifier place a small pan
of water in the bottom of your oven.

Lasagne, pasta dishes, ect.:

- Do not cook at more than 200°C. If you wish to brown off the dish then increase the
temperature to 230°C for the last few minutes.

Pizza:

- When your pizza base is pre-cooked put the pizza directly on to the grids.
- For square cut pizza cover your cooking tray with aluminium foil and make holes in the
sheet to allow the steam and moisture to escape.

Pastries:

- With the TEC ovens you must use a temperature which is approximately 30°C lower
than with a traditional oven.
- Allow a distance of 8 cm. between each shelf.
- To defrost biscuits, cream cakes, chocolate and desserts in general you must not use
hot air. It is sufficient just to switch on the oven by placing the thermostat on 0°C.

Defrosting frozen foods:

- The ideal temperature for defrosting is between 120-130°C - at this temperature

bacteria are eliminated, containers keep their shape and the food is heated uniformly.
For aluminium containers : pre-heat to 190°C and then defrost at 140°C
For plastic containers: pre-heat 130°C and defrost at 110°C.
