Opening Scripture Proverbs 1:1-7, 10

Proverbs 3:1-18 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 10:8-21 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of
him that is void of understanding.

Proverbs 12:12-23 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

James 3 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that
it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire
of hell.
