1.0 General Statement

About 10 m DN400 pipes will be fixed along the existing access bridge.

2.0 Purpose and scope

The purpose of this Method Statement is to explain the proper procedure on how to
fix the part of the new DN 400mm raw water main to the existing access bridge on
the southern side according to BoQ item no：2.1.3.6

3.0 Method statement

The new DN400 pipes will be fixed to the bridge, By using U bar. As below drawing.

7.0 Safety

 All works shall comply with safety procedure or instruction setout in project
safety plan and municipality rules and regulations

 Basic PPE to be worn by all staff and labours

 Trained operator and banksman would be engaged to control or operate heavy

equipment machine

 To inspect equipments so as to be satisfied that it is working properly

8.0 Personal Protective Gears

PPE that will be used during the work includes gum boots，rubber gloves，leather
gloves，overalls，dust musks，hard hats，safety boots，etc

9.0 Work program

10/11/2014-15/11/2014: installation of U bar to the existing bridge
